Bonny, I can't possibly express how sorry I am.
You did two very hard things for him: you fought the good fight and you let him go.
bonny, I'm so sorry about Bartleby. Please do whatever you need to do to take care of yourself, and come back whenever you feel ready. (I don't know if you will, or expect you to, read this but if you do not, then I hope you still feel all the love we have for you.)
Bonny, I'm so very sorry.

What Ginger said. I cried some yesterday when I got the news, and cried again today reading your post. Remember that there are no "shoulds" in grief - you feel how you feel. There will be plenty of time to remember the joy, right now you are feeling the loss, for it is enormous. My heart aches for you.
bonny, I'm lost for words. I'm very, very sorry. And yes, what WS said: please take care of yourself.
What a grievous loss, bonny. You moved the world on its axis to do everything you could to save him. But it was the right choice to let him go. I am very saddened by your news, and my heart goes out to you.
So very sorry Bonny. Wishing you much comfort.
((((bonny)))) I had a post ready to go in my head, but Hec said it just as well or even better. So
