I like books. I just don't want to take on too much. Do they have an introduction to the modern blurb?

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Problem is a lot of the incandescents are not standard. Tiny fancy ones for chandliers. Or big spotlight thingies. I don't even know what they were for.

They might be floods for ceiling fixtures. I could use both, if so; I'm sure I'm not the only one with those annoying ceiling spotlights. You could FreeCycle them.

Our wings are not tired.

Thank you for all the comforting support. I copied and pasted a bunch of comments and sent them to DH. It is harder on him than me in many ways. I was a wild teen and turned responsible while DH had irresponsible parents and had to man up at an early age. He really blames himself and believes he did something wrong while I honestly believe my boys hit the dad lotto.

Good to hear you liked the new psychiatrist askye.

What do you want to do instead, meara?

Our wings are not tired.

So my posting window was open abou a half hour so I missed the Kara concert update. Woo! Recognizable music even. School shows are fun times for sure.

Thrive to spite them

I probably wasn't as clear as I could be Steph.

I'm in a sort of Therapy Loves Carrots kinda mood right now.

Plus when P-C said Because I don't ask girls out? and Because my default assumption is that women don't like me and I am bothering them?

It kinda hit me, because I'm realizing that my self images and personal assumptions are out of date. I've changed and made some positive changes and I just need to catch up with that.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Deena, it was so good to hear that Nick is doing so well. Also, Deena!

I know you both have to be terribly frustrated, Laura. I would be Brendon, because I have been the responsible one most of my life.

I hate compact flourescents!

Have you tried the newer ones in warm white? Warm white is very close to incandescent light, and the new bulbs are close to instant on.

I only have two incandescent bulbs left, because they're on a dimmer switch. Dimmable CFLs are pricy and don't work very well. I'm waiting for LEDs to come down in price. CFLs are a transitional technology, but incandescent bulbs are such a waste of energy. There's also a daylight CFL which is quite close to real daylight, but it turns out that most people don't really like the way they look in daylight.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Despite being a 15 year old boy, I haven't wanted to punch him in the neck in the last 48 hours.

I jinxed myself. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

java, I want to do my old job, the one I had before this. In-house CRA. Sadly, I have not gotten the few that have come up in town that I've interviewed for (like last weeks). Apparently i have a good resume and do ok on phone interviews but am bad in person.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

java, you should come here! What's your title again? I can keep my ear out for openings.

Our wings are not tired.

P-C, actually your company has tried several times to recruit me. :) I'm asso. Dir of reg ops. Should be director in Feb (one of the things I'm hanging on for).

meara, I bet you're great in person. But you have said lots of times that you're ambivalent about the jobs you're interviewing for. Do you think maybe your hesitation or ambivalence shows during the talks? Companies, I think, really want to hire people who strongly want the job.
