Why is the weekend always gone?
It's made of rum. But clearly, not enough rum.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I'm very sorry. ~mas to you, and to the rest of the 'istas I skimmed earlier (I believe I saw something about bonny, so separate ~ma to you as well, dear).
Tthanks for all you kind thoughts and words. Matt is really good at giving kind words to people, but I think he is surprised at how much they matter.
We are sending out the ma~~~ Pix.
This day started all horrible and wrong.
I need a reboot.
(Meanwhile, apparently the absurd landlord of mine refuses to pay for washing machine fixing. Even though it's in the contract. Why? Because it's too expensive, and they already "gave us" (read: did what was written in the contract) a window that should have been in the living room in the first place, two months after we entered the flat.
Oh well. Me and roommate just looked for a reason to get the hell away from her. It's a beautiful place, but she's absolutely nuts. Just just another thing in a long list of contract violations.)
Catching up with the internets after a crazy weekend where crazy = house-falling-apart.
Pix & ND - all comfort to you and for Byron. You've taken such good care of him.
Matt & family, much comfort to you. So very sorry for your loss.
Shir, next time she asks for rent, give her the same excuse - hey we paid LAST month, and now you want us to pay again? What do you mean, it's in the contract - it's expensive and we already did it. t /not helpful
Sox, that does sound like a crazy weekend. I see yours also comes with not enough rum.
I need to get dressed and get to campus. It's 18 degrees outside. I so don't want to go out anywhere.
Andi is on to something.
In the US in various communities, you can sequester part of the rent you pay to make necessary repairs. It can be more trouble than its worth, but if you demonstrate that you had to make the repairs, got a few estimates and took the $$ out of rent, boom.
So sorry, Pix and ND. You gave Byron a wonderful life. But it's so hard. Lots of love and comfort to you.
Much ~ma and condolences to Matt and beth. So sorry for your loss.
