Well played.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Sorry. It was just sitting there, and I'm weak.
I thought until I was 14 that Mary was "round young virgin" a well fed virgin who was both a mother and a child.

Don't be. I totally laughed. I should proof before snarking.

That makes lots of sense! Even if it's not the lyrics.
I kinda miss church just for the singing.
I should proof before snarking.
erinaceous's law strikes again.
And "O come all ye faithful, la la la la la la, o come ye, o come ye, la la la la" I may never stop rolling my eyes at this.
I laughed. Mostly because I know it all too well myself (I'm really, really bad with lyrics. Even to songs I really love. Give me 600 years of history to memorize, will do. A 14 lines poem/song? Not so much).
But yes, not counting them as religious songs is beyond me.
SNORFLE, Typo!
I'm an agnostic, but I love most carols. I can sing Silent Night in English and German (thanks, choir class!), and O Come All Yes Faitheful in English and Latin (choir class).
I've been tempted to filk, for the first time in a long time (general fantasy filk):
Silent night, Unholy night
Oh, last night, I killed a wight
Ran it through
with sword and might
Surrounded by zombies, rotting and wild
Like Cap'n Tightpants, I was thoroughly riled
Die, you bastards, you're through
Die, and just rot in your goo
I need more coffee...
(No offense intended; like I said, I think they're lovely songs. And yes, I know; Mal never killed zombie. BUT HE WOULD HAVE!!)
And yes, I know; Mal never killed zombie. BUT HE WOULD HAVE!!
I dunno. Reavers could be called zombies with better dress sense, eh?
bonny, thank you! The thought had passed my mind!
