You're nice, and you're funny and you don't smoke, and okay, werewolf, but that's not all the time. I mean, three days out of the month, I'm not much fun to be around, either.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Aims, my thoughts are with your friends. Like everyone said, strength and peace.

And Dana, ugh. I hope the rings will pop out of nowhere ASAP.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Dana, that's such a terrible breach of trust in a difficult time. How awful to take advantage of her that way.

Aims, that's an unspeakable loss. I feel terrible for your friend. Just terrible.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

This. I can't say it any better. It bugs the hell out of me when nice things go missing from the rooms of the individuals I work with.

Aims - lots of ~ma for your friend and her brother. I'm so sorry this happened.

Amyth, I'm glad your head isn't asplodey with bacteria.

Whiskey tango foxtrot, smonster. I don't even know what to say about the gas company.

P-C, many congrats for your brother.

Tacklehugs Shir.

Yay for sleeping dogs, Ginger.

Also yay for kitten fostering, askye.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

No hugs, hairpats, ~ma, or anything needed, just a chance to rant. This may go down as possibly the shittiest week I've had for a long time.

My arthritis is hurting, badly. One of my eyes isn't healing up very well. The other evening I tripped (over my own feet) and didn't fall but jammed one big toe (the one with arthritis) so badly it's incredibly painful and spectacularly bruised. And I was scheduled for jury duty today. I scheduled everything to work around it, had to catch a cab to get there at anything resembling on time, only to find that they'd rescheduled me for next week. This is the second rescheduling - I went in September 1 and was rebuked and sent home because I hadn't cancelled my doctor's appointment (scheduled about three months in advance) on September 2. Today they said that they'd sent a notice back in September and I HAVE to go in next week. On a day I'd scheduled for vacation time.

dammit

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Oh, Toddson. The piling up of the suckage makes everything worse.

What NSAIDs are you taking for the arthritis?

In foster dog news, having two males constantly compete for your attention is not as much fun as you'd think.

Thanks Ginger (and, fyi, I quoted you in paraphrase in the Comedy thread). I'm taking Tramadol (prescription) and arthritis strength Tylenol. Can't take ibuprofen - I'm on a blood thinner (which is probably part of why the bruise on my toe is so spectacular) which would lead to serious stomach problems.

And the dogs - would it be any consolation to point out that with two of them, each can have a leg to, um, get friendly with?

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Toddson, those aren't just nibbly ducks, those are vampire ducks trying to drain your life force. Evil ducks, even.

Ginger, does ignoring them totally help at all?

Project Waiting for Entergy: Godot is Our Co-Pilot has resumed. I need to get on doing some actual work while I wait.

Coffee: dammit, I left the thumb drive I need to do my work at the other house. And I can't risk leaving. I am so annoyed at myself right now.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Good gravy, Toddson, I'm sorry, that is some major suckage. Here's to some pain relief and just getting through.

Always Anti-fascist!

Smonster, I'm a Bust subscriber with no room to keep things in my place...would you like it if I sent you some? It's reusing them, right? (And I've totally been that broke, not that my shit's opulent now.)
