Happy Thanksgiving, my Buffistas! I truly am so thankful for all of you.
We're about to head out to my aunt and uncle's house to chow down. My aunt is an excellent cook, so when people ask what they can bring, she tells them "wine." She makes damn near everything else.
Fortunately, I am good at bringing wine! I also made an apple crisp, so that there would be a gluten-free dessert I could eat. My brother is bringing a case of Alchemist beer -- I imagine there will be a toast to the dearly departed brewpub -- and he brought home a bunch of really good Vermont cheese in an insulated bag. My belly is ready.
I didn't mean to say I don't care if I hurt your feelings, ita. Because I think we're friends. The issue of what we talk about on the board is connected, of course, but seperate.
If you told me, personally, that I said something that you thought was gross, it's not like I value free speech more than your opinion.
I hope you're at least having a turkey sandwich to celebrate antipodally, bt.
You hope in vain! Turkey is a vanishingly rare sandwich meat here.
I had a hamburger last night. With rocket leaves, horseradish cream, tomato relish and chili jam. (It was a good burger.)

Well, you do have vegemite.
We have had our delicious dinner and we're headed to another relative's house for dessert

Back from the feed. The grilled turkey was lovely if the surface was overspiced. Moist but not soggy.
The deep fried turkey was slightly soggy, and I got dark meat, which is more strongly flavored than I like.
I really like you, ita.
I just make fun of things a lot, and it doesn't always occur to me that other people don't, and free speech is one of *my* hot buttons.
So I made a thing, though I didn't really plan to.
