Connie, that sound wonderful. I expect a full report when you get back.
Yay for buffistas meeting for the first time! That always makes me happy.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We have toast and popcorn, c'mon over!
Happy Thanksgiving (and why do I feel vaguely guilty that I didn't wish the same a few weeks ago when the Canadians went at it?) to those affected. Wishing a lovely day to those not so affected.
Happy Thanksgiving, Pleiades!
You too, wrongyhead! This is my second Thanksgiving this year. Fewer than last year. Last year we had... four. Four Thanksgiving dinners in two countries.
I need to make of the cranberry sauce now. Once my coffee is finished.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
I hope you're at least having a turkey sandwich to celebrate antipodally, bt.
Happy Thanksgiving. Thank you for helping me get through this year.
Turkey is cooking, sides are being prepped, and I'm lounging on the couch. K-Bug and her boyfriend have taken over the kitchen.
I am thankful for all my friends here, you have kept me sane, made me laugh, made me cry, and supported me, invisibly and visibly. Again, I thank you.
Happy Thanksgiving, all. I am so glad to have this board and the people on it in my life.
Stuffed whole chicken for us. For the local occupy kids: Turkey, 2 pumpkin pies, cranberry sauce and instead of stuffing curried couscous with chickpeas, sunflower seeds, onions, peppers and raisins - high protein one dish meal for vegans and vegetarians, nice side dish for carnivores and omnivores.
For us whole chicken, low sugar cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, brussel sprouts. (We like chicken better than turkey anyway.)
Happy Thanksgiving, my Buffistas! I truly am so thankful for all of you.
We're about to head out to my aunt and uncle's house to chow down. My aunt is an excellent cook, so when people ask what they can bring, she tells them "wine." She makes damn near everything else.
Fortunately, I am good at bringing wine! I also made an apple crisp, so that there would be a gluten-free dessert I could eat. My brother is bringing a case of Alchemist beer -- I imagine there will be a toast to the dearly departed brewpub -- and he brought home a bunch of really good Vermont cheese in an insulated bag. My belly is ready.
