Tim's insurance has a $20 copay for generic drugs -- unless they're "mental health" drugs, even if they're generic. The "mental health" drugs, even generic, are $40. Ritalin is included in that. And starting next year, his insurance is putting a cap on how much Ritalin can be prescribed to a patient in a given month, even it the cap is under what the doctor prescribes, because it's what the patient fucking NEEDS to function.
Well, sure. I mean, can't Tim just decide to have better mental health and decide to not have ADD? PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY PEOPLE!!!
t /sarcasm
Health insurance is just a crutch and stifles initiative and keeps people from going out and finding good health.
edit: They could go out and be janitors--but that would take jobs away from the children.
WTF, Tep? That is...so stupid there's not a strong enough eord for stupid.
My mother used to date a janitor. So the whole time that nimrod's clip is playing, I'm thinking "At least say "custodian" or "facilities" asshole."(and that job is way too serious for urchins with brooms...honestly, till I met B. I had *no idea* how much they are put in charge of,which made me all "Bad lefty...no union-made biscuit," but the good ones make it all invisible and shit. The heating, cooling, and lighting of public schools is in their hands, as are environmental retrofits...it's a real job, not just a track for obnoxious poor students(although that's probably how B. got started.)
my brother was such a dick yesterday...he literally flounced off.
Though Mom said B. was immature, he was not jailbait.
Am I a bad person for wishing Karl Rove's route to Hopkins had been a bit more...scenic?
"Mic check, motherfucker!"
I saw something by someone who'd actually worked as a janitor/ custodian at a school who pointed out that the kids would be cleaning up all kinds of bodily fluids AND using heavy-duty industrial cleaners and equipment.
It's major, yeah.
But Newt never bothers to learn anything about the little people(or anything else, either.)
"Republican intellectual" "Jumbo shrimp."
IJS.
My uncle was a facilities person at a local New Hampshire school, and the stories he tells are beyond horrific.
exactly.
Also, Newt looks like shit for his (claimed0 age. My mom is supposedly three years behind him--they look like different life forms.
Perhaps it's a reverse of Dorian Gray - somewhere there's a portrait of Newt that remains young and as good looking as he ever was.
eta: well, a portrait isn't supposed to change, is it? oh well ....
