Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I fail as a doctor.

Well, you've suggested just about everything that the actual doctors did.

I hope you start feeling better Hil.

Thanks. I've just got one more day of teaching tomorrow, and then a week of break.

Also maybe thanksgiving could be all rest and no cooking? Could someone take over the cooking you were going to do?

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Fundraiser is over! Hurrah! This one was so frustrating to coordinate that I had to hand off a lot of responsibility (after getting the ball rolling)for my sanity even BEFORE I had the whole last minute death in the family and subsequent travelling etc. I ran the silent auction, and it went OK, I think. I probably could have done better, but I think it was OK.

Shitloads of people didn't collect on their winnings so I'll be dealing with that this weekend.

I am also uneasily realizing that we are going completely to ground as hermits and I need to figure out how to reverse course. I guess "go out and do stuff" is what should be done, but it's pretty hard to motivate on that. Ugh. I hate this. I suck at New Orleans!

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Hon, don't be too hard on yourself. It's been a stressful while.

Why don't you do a walking tour, or a houses tour; something low-key? Take a cooking class; learn how to make a good roux or jambalaya or something fun.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Dad update. Stint surgery went swell. They postponed today's procedure trying to figure out what caused the mini stroke. Looks like it will happen 8:30am Friday EST. and still playing phone tag with east coast. Text messages are good, but not that good.

My husband has 4 stents, your dad should come out of this well, barring complications.

Our wings are not tired

Stents work very well. My Dad had at least two of them more than a decade before he died. They did their job so well that it was cancer that got him, not the high blood pressure and heart disease that dogged him for much of his life.

Oh G-d, now I remember why I don't drink as much as i may want. 2 shots of Fernet and 1 vodka martin = zomg. I hve not been this tipsy in a long damn time. Typos are beyond my ability to fix.

Pete went to the club with me and the StuntHusband!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm glad the surgery went well, Omnis. My dad also got a good decade with the help of stents, so I hope your father has at least as good an experience.
