Hon, don't be too hard on yourself. It's been a stressful while.
Why don't you do a walking tour, or a houses tour; something low-key? Take a cooking class; learn how to make a good roux or jambalaya or something fun.
'Touched'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Dad update. Stint surgery went swell. They postponed today's procedure trying to figure out what caused the mini stroke. Looks like it will happen 8:30am Friday EST. and still playing phone tag with east coast. Text messages are good, but not that good.
My husband has 4 stents, your dad should come out of this well, barring complications.
Stents work very well. My Dad had at least two of them more than a decade before he died. They did their job so well that it was cancer that got him, not the high blood pressure and heart disease that dogged him for much of his life.
Oh G-d, now I remember why I don't drink as much as i may want. 2 shots of Fernet and 1 vodka martin = zomg. I hve not been this tipsy in a long damn time. Typos are beyond my ability to fix.
Pete went to the club with me and the StuntHusband!
I'm glad the surgery went well, Omnis. My dad also got a good decade with the help of stents, so I hope your father has at least as good an experience.
Omnis - glad the surgery went well. I hope that the recovery goes even better.
askye, that's a lot to process! But it sounds like it went well, overall.
Omnis, I'm glad the surgery went well.

What Erin said, Nora. After all the shit that happened last year, I hid from the world for a while. Getting out of bed and going to work was all I could manage. I complained to my therapist that I'm an extrovert, and it wasn't normal for me. He had to remind me that when I was ready to emerge, I would. And I did.
Omnis, my dad has at least 4 stents, possibly more, all in the same vein graft. And he's had them for 10-15 years. He's doing very well, active at his church, works as a greeter at the grocery store, does yard work for an elderly lady friend of his (never mind the fact that he's about to turn 70).
They work very well, and will be a great help to your dad.
Good news about the surgery going well, omnis.
