Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
The new version of fitbit that you can wear on your wrist is now available for order, but it is already back ordered, so it will take a few weeks to come in. I just ordered mine, and I know some people here expressed interest in getting one, so I thought I'd mention it.
I called my mental health line for my insurance provider and was given three new names of possible therapists. So, not it is just a matter of calling my current therapist and telling her I'm not coming back. She's just done too many things that I find to be upsetting as well as made me feel like she is judging me. I kept crying on and off all weekend. The person on the phone for my health care provider was very nice. He is a therapist also and gave me some tips for choosing someone new.
Ugh, that's tough sj. When I fired my psychiatrist, I just cancelled my appointment and sent a letter explaining what the issue was and why I no longer wished to be his patient.
Thanks for the link le n.
I guess I was doing them right...which I'm sure will come back to bite me when I get up to 100 and am stiff 'n sore.
Maybe it is because I DO stand at my computer all day and walk the dog...and do them late in the day before bed.
Also, the 70 were after a day of rest, so my muscles were fresh.
In any case, I'm glad to have stuck with the program and am looking forward to feeling all accomplished and stuff when I make it to the end of the challenge.
Poor Frank!
I'm so glad that you are okay and totally lament your loss. May this incredibly scary and tedious transition bring you good things.
Good job, you...sj.
Making the decision to correct your course (in the nautical sense) is one of the greatest displays of courage, to my way of thinking.
I hope the next therapist you interview is the right one, but if not, I know you will eventually find what you need. Cheers!
Frankenbuddha, that's horrible! I'm sorry about your landlord, and I hope finding a new place goes well for you. That is some scary shit.
sj, I hope your next therapist is much better suited to your needs and personality.
I should do the squat program with a focus on wide leg squats - those work the inner quad, right? I need to balance out.
Looking around on the 200 Squats website, I just have to say,
squat, squat, squat, the word no longer has any meaning...
Good luck finding the next therapist, sj. I'm sure breaking up with the last one is diffficult, but good for you for taking good care of yourself!
sj I'm sorry your therapist has not been good for you. I hope the next one really works out.
The squat thing is interesting but every time I try my knees go over my toes so I must be doing it wrong and I've looked at a few videos, but still knees over the toes. Maybe my knees are too fat.
scrappy, that's wonderful! Congratulations.
Also? Good news is good!
sj, that is good to hear that you have better options. If calling is too fraught, maybe you could send a letter or email to explain why you are leaving? Sounds like your therapist might benefit from knowing how their behaviour is affecting you in a very not positive way, but there's also no reason to upset yourself even more...your job is to find someone who can actually help you rather than making everything worse. The former therapist may be beyond self improvement.
