meara, as a data point, I had my kids at 37 & 39, and my OB indicated that there wouldn't have been a problem if I had wanted to continue. But yeah, not sure there's a way to ideally anticipate what you might need in the future.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
OK, I suppose going and getting the initial test done is a start, y'all have a point. (Though the reading was basically like "if it's a good result, that means you can make enough eggs to be worth freezing! If it's bad, it's too late, sucks!")

Better to at least know what the situation is than drive yourself crazy with what ifs.
I have not had a good night's sleep in two nights, and it is making me very hulk smash.
have any of you had any problems being served regular Coke/Pepsi when you've asked for Diet?
I think this may be a persistent problem where I am. I periodically test my blood sugar, though it previously has been managed with diet, etc. But it has been off the charts and unpredictable in the most recent 3 months. Sometimes in a good range, sometimes not so much. The only thing that might be different is if I'm getting sugar in places I do not expect.
My parents learned to ask for "Diet" rather than "Diet Coke" because half the time the server ended up hearing "Coke." And if they heard "Sprite," it's obvious before you take a drink.
I can tell immediately if my drink is diet Coke or not, and I will send it back. I had one waitress bring me regular Coke back, and I then asked for the manager.
I can't tell, but I don't really drink soda very often. If there are multiple drinks with some regular and some diet I think the diet is darker.
Strix! Take care of yourself. Hope the surgery goes smoothly.
I once asked for a Coke with lemon and the waitress said, "but lemon goes on DIET Coke". She was utterly bewildered.
Strix, gallbladder surgery~ma. Is there anything we do to help you with your recovery? Send books? I feel like you have just been dealing with way too much lately.
I can usually tell the difference between regular and diet soda because I hate the taste of sugar substitute. I was at a restaurant this afternoon and the customer next to me was hoping there was a diet soda without caffeine, and the waitress tried to convince her that coke zero didn't have caffeine. The woman couldn't have any caffeine for medical reasons. Luckily her daughter was there and she quickly corrected the waitress.
