You'd never make it. I'd rip your spine out before you got half a step. Those little legs wouldn't be much good without one of those.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Well, WE'RE glad to see you, Todd :)

Yay for a great new boss!!!

I have juggled work and I'm taking the day off. I just want to nap. Taking the lorazapam to combat anxiety just knocks me the crap out. I could have tried half, but hindsight is 20/20.

Thanks! I like it. It's old, but not old enough to be precious. Too precious to use, that is.

And, for your entertainment, this.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Yeah, Toddson, WE'RE glad you're here. And what a relief, to have a sane, reasonable boss who likes you!

When I left for college, I dropped ties with everyone in my family except my sister and my mom (and my stepfather by extension). No one seemed to care, or even notice. I was better off without the baggage.

Work is INSANE. The issue that was supposed to go to press in mid-March at 250 pages is still nowhere near ready to print, despite a press date of next week, and will now have nearly 800 pages. This is in addition to my other journal, which is also going over budget on pages. Are they TRYING to kill me?

On one hand, I'm hoping they take this awful journal away from me. On the other hand, I know all too well that there are worse journals they could stick me with instead. So I don't know what to hope for. Better off without hope, I suppose.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

My mom has my great-grandmother's china, which is this [link] for 12 with all the serving dishes, etc. It's supposed to go to me, but I am just not a roses gal, so I don't know what she's going to do with it.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Todd! Good to see you here. I'm sorry about your family's bad judgment, but I'm glad your boss is a reasonable sort.

Zen, urgh. Better the devil you know, I guess?

I have a serious dish addiction. Serious. And not even limited to type. I love sturdy pottery, heavy ironstone, pretty Corelle, and dainty china. Honestly, that's how my teacups and pots collection got started, so I could have a bit of every china pattern and pottery I really liked. I have had to squash that addiction. With ruthless prejudice.

Did I congratulate CJ yet, Suzi? I thought I had. If not, then good for him (and, you know, good for you, too).

On his black belt, Beverly? I will pass that along. He is off at training on technical rescues (rock safety). Thankfully KCD took him and is bringing him home. I'm all Vicodined up. I don't know why these cramps are knocking me on my ass more than regular monthly cramps - but damn.

I still have my wedding china in its original box. At first we were saving it for a special occasion. Then it got buried in our various garages over time. I'm not sure I even remember what it looks like - I think it is a cream china with a black border and a gold rim. I think. I should check it out and sell the set. My day to day stuff is a nice white set I got from Bed, Bath, and Beyond. I think only one bowl has chipped over the last 4 years.
