Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Also some news that turned out to be good - a couple months ago I was afraid I had a bedbug infestation. So I consulted the wise msbelle and got some good advice. However, it turned out that I didn't have bedbugs - the laundry room in my building had fleas. Which is unpleasant, but much less of a headache than my own personal bedbugs. So now, when I do laundry, I wear pants with elastic at the ankles and avoid the bench; it's no fun having to stand up while the laundry runs, but it beats having bites.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

My everyday stuff is a set I got at a local consignment shop; it's thin ironstone. The design is called "Empress" (waits for Aims).

I'll be going ahead putting a claim on those, thankyewverymuch.

brillig

I never had anything returned, Toddson, but when I stopped sending the cards and letters at birthdays and Christmas, no one seemed to mind. I realized the postal service runs both ways and I couldn't force my blood family to acknowledge me. Christmas became much happier when I stopped watching the mail.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Well, WE'RE glad to see you, Todd :)

Yay for a great new boss!!!

I have juggled work and I'm taking the day off. I just want to nap. Taking the lorazapam to combat anxiety just knocks me the crap out. I could have tried half, but hindsight is 20/20.

Thanks! I like it. It's old, but not old enough to be precious. Too precious to use, that is.

And, for your entertainment, this.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Yeah, Toddson, WE'RE glad you're here. And what a relief, to have a sane, reasonable boss who likes you!

When I left for college, I dropped ties with everyone in my family except my sister and my mom (and my stepfather by extension). No one seemed to care, or even notice. I was better off without the baggage.

Work is INSANE. The issue that was supposed to go to press in mid-March at 250 pages is still nowhere near ready to print, despite a press date of next week, and will now have nearly 800 pages. This is in addition to my other journal, which is also going over budget on pages. Are they TRYING to kill me?

On one hand, I'm hoping they take this awful journal away from me. On the other hand, I know all too well that there are worse journals they could stick me with instead. So I don't know what to hope for. Better off without hope, I suppose.
