And, just to make life complete, I've discovered that my insurnce isn't covering more than I thought of my cataract surgery. The first one they'd told me I'd be responsible for $20 to the hospital, period. Needless to say, I was overjoyed. Then I got the report on what's covered and what's not and it turns out that there's $550 or so that isn't being covered. When I'd called to find out about the second eye, since it was being done at a different place (because of the doctor's schedule) they said they didn't have anything about a second operation. I called the doctor's office and spoke to the person who handles insurance stuff and she said she'd sent the paperwork in for both operations at the same time, she's done her part, end of conversation. Back to the insurance company and they have no record of any second operation ... which means it wasn't pre-approved and I may end up paying the whole thing out of pocket (about $2,800). Plus follow-up visits and such, plus new glasses. I'd started a flexible spending account for this, but it's not going to cover an entire surgery. Pisses me off no end.
Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I don't blame you for being pissed about this, Toddson. GRRR.
Yikes, Erin!! Can you call the mortgage company and ask for a grace period?
Toddson, I hate that shit. I swear insurance companies "lose" paperwork on purpose. Last year my therapist put in for more visits TWICE and they claimed they'd never gotten them and wouldn't approve the visits.
When I worked paying insurance claims, we would scan whatever paperwork came in and then throw away the paper. Anything that got screwed up or mis-electronically-filed would just become nonexistent. I suspect that many insurance companies do this. Cigna does, or so I was told by a Cigna representative.
Oh. Hi. I've been lurky. I was getting too close to never leaving the Internet, and I had to step away from the things I could never turn off. Like Buffistas. You addictive Buffistas.

Our mortgage is paid on the first of the month, so we're ok with that. Thank god, since we're clawing our way out of almost-foreclosure from a year ago, and are thisclose to normal payments again.
D heard he SHOULD (I won't believe it till I see it) be getting paid tomorrow, but we have some autopay stuff for the car and phone that were scheduled for today. If we get hit with OD charge for those, I am DAMN well marching to the bank and explaining the sitch; if that doesn't work, we will present his company with a bill for the $70 in OD charges.
HI, ZEN!!!
is someone calling bonny???
Nora, I don't know who has her number, but I assume that her deleted Beep Me post was not good?
Did someone call?
