Sounds delicious, erika.
I'm baking a cherry coffee cake for Easter brunch. It smells amazing. The recipe was in a free kindle cookbook, which led to some interesting typos. I'm pretty sure I didn't actually need three cups of streusel for the topping, but what the heck--the streusel is often the best part anyway.
I have no idea why I thought that I could move the boxes myself and only ask for help with the furniture.
I just moved a (garden) cart load of boxes (i.e, 1 large full of fiber and one medium full of pots and pans), a folding chair and my portable spinning wheel (sidekick) and my back is already complaining.
Moving sucks. If I ever move again, I'm hiring full-service movers. Never again with the packing and the lifting. I moved 11 times in 16 years. I'm done.
The last two times I moved (before I moved to VT) I hired movers, partly because I was having to move in August in Florida and going to a place on the second floor and then one with two stories. Movers were totally worth it. I wish I could have done the full moving experience up here to VT with professionals but I probably would have brought more stuff than actually would fit in the apartment.
yay for new place Sumi!
mmm... breakfast.
I believe that on time means 5 minutes early, but no one is truely late untile 15 minutes late. Traffic around here sort of messes that up. Lucktle ily that seems to mesh with most people I know. And now I work with teens that really aren't 100% in charge of thier schedule - so I have to let go a little
Traffic totally does change things in ways you can't plan. I mean, daily congestion you plan for but random things are just random. Driving to my folks varies by thirty minutes without commuting or any actual situations. It just is.
I don't begrudge people with traffic. I do think I can arch a brow when my brother says he'll be somewhere at noon, I call at 12:30 and he only left five minutes ago. That's not traffic, that's not caring. Because he doesn't call either to update.
I colored eggs today. I love that part of Easter. There's a picture of me (FB) holding a wax crayon that looks like I stealth smoke. I just needed to block the color, man. Anyone would be holding that.
I colored eggs today too! We made "tie-dyed" eggs. They turned out super cute.
How do you tie-dye? I did multicolor but nothing near so elaborate. I would like to tie-dye next year. People need to keep having kids so as to continue having a pool of small humans for me to dye Easter eggs with in the future. And Monday? Confetti egg salad.
Cass, I will totally dye eggs with you sans small humans.
I win!
I really like coloring eggs. And, apparently, it's a bonus that I will then take the eggs to make egg salad sandwiches. That look like confetti if I have my way.
It's food you are encouraged to play with, I don't see the downside. Apart from looking like I mirder clowns in my spare time. But fingers will get over being stained.
