If you're close with your family and being around them is good for you, and you want to be near them... why the fuck wouldn't you move to be closer to them? SO is working a gig right now, but I think when he gets home we'll be headed to urgent care, because it's been since Thursday and it's not getting better. He wanted to take me first thing, but I'm doctor averse.

Yeah, I'm annoyed because it happened at "our" coffee shop, where the SO teaches out of, so I'm there more or less constantly. Declining to eat there from now on's going to be a little awkward.
