Now, this would be the perfect time for a swear word.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I'm sorry, smonster. He will look back on this with great regret.

Yay, car.

I think really bad bosses leave you with a form of PTSD.

Apparently my body has decided I have to have the full pain experience. I was stirring something and muscles in my upper back went into a spasm. I have taken All the Medicine, and tried heat, cold and tennis balls, all of which work when they're actually on my upper back, but I can't make that happen all the time.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Here's my Jenny Owen Youngs song of choice for the moment, "Drinking Song." In particular the line "everyone I try to love won't hear of it." [link]

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I worked for a Dolores Umbridge, but I don't have scars on the back of my hand.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Ack, Ginger, I hope you get some relief soon.

Oh, it's time for Friends' Thanksgiving! Yes, what time?

It starts at 3:00 Eastern. I don't know what optimal Skyping time will end up being, when folks will end up getting there, when dinner will end up happening, but I'd say 4:00-ish my time is a good bet. Folks should be there, but dinner not yet on the table. We can text about it.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

backflung, smonster!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Talk about my forgetting the obvious - Manic Panic Blood Red, Kiss of Death, or Vampire

oo, how does a novice like me know which shade is the right one for me? Um, do I ask Cass? I think that might be the answer in my case. Cass, what are your prefered reds? I am more interested in a blood red than a sexpot red, but really just interested in a good red.

Part of me still feels like it's just shitty timing, which makes things both better and worse.

I dunno. My recommdation would be to let go of the "shitty timing" narrative, not because it's wrong, but because it creates a false hope that he'll come around and change his mind. He might not. His loss. I've met you, smonster, and you're adorable and you wear your heart on your sleeve and I have no doubt eventually you'll meet someone who is right for you and ready to be there with you.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Lovely pictures, Jilli!

And thank you.

I'm sitting on the tarmac in San Diego. I hope they can fix our plane soon. I kinda want to get home.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

That makes a whole lot of sense. I keep telling myself that the old rules don't apply, but there are times when I feel like the veteran who dives under a table when a car backfires (do cars still backfire?)

Let me swatch the reds when I get home. Remind me tomorrow-ish.

We're deplaning and getting the next plane. Maybe Portland by midnight.

Blargh. I hope you make it home sooner than that, Cass.
