Wash: I didn't think you were one for rituals and such. Mal: I'm not, but it'll keep the others busy for a while. No reason to concern them with what's to be done.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I did not know about this!

I found out about it by accident. I was in the gift shop before leaving the V&A, and saw a Winnie the Pooh postcard. I went back to the security desk and asked where I could find it in the museum, and the guard kindly directed me to the prints & drawings room.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Oh, and Jilli, definitely get to the gift shop before it closes. I think the shop closed before the museum the day we were there, and I missed out on the gift shop, which is one of my favorites.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

WRT the Mirena: I found the discomfort similar to having an IUI, which makes sense what with the fact that both require insertion past the cervix. Def recommend an ibuprofen before you go in.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Regarding Mirena: I'm a big wimp, and I found insertion uncomfortable but not really painful. Like, no sharp pains, just a weird what-the-hell feeling. I haven't had kids, but it was one day after my period stopped. There was no lingering discomfort after. I had mild cramps for a day, and that was it. Even if it had been more painful, it would have been worth it, though!

Thrive to spite them

A friend of mine said it hurt worse getting it taken out.

Instead of going for the copper only IUD I'm going to have a tubal occlusion at the end of the month.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Mid July. I think we get there on the 12th? (I don't have my phone near me, so I can't check.)

That is when I will be there! We should meet up at some point (because that's what I do when I go to distant places: meet up with people I know from different distant places than the place I am in)

Ooooh! This is a good plan!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

The good news is that my blood work is normal, and last week's PET scan didn't show any spread outside my bones, which is about as good as I can hope for.

WOOOOT!

Is your friend someone with whom you could say, "Swing by the Red Lion when you're ready to see the Museum"?

My friend is, totally. But I don't know anything about the other person. And that's the rub. I've traveled with or known people who have to be ALLTOGETHERALLOFTHETIME, so that's annoying.

I'm just annoyed because I really wanted to go with her and see the Dames in the West End, and it's not going to happen because of this other friend. Not annoyed at my friend, just the universe for fucking up my flow.

My favorite thing is to go to the British Museum and take breaks ordering their best bitter at the Museum Pub, which is about a block away.

Is that the one on Great Russell St? I love that place *sniff* and then when we get peckish, we could go to Wagamama for ramen.

On the honeymoon trip we went to the V&A, The National Gallery, The Tate Modern, and Courtauld Gallery

Yes, Yes, Yes, and never been, but now I'm intrigued.

That is when I will be there! We should meet up at some point (because that's what I do when I go to distant places: meet up with people I know from different distant places than the place I am in)

Ooooh! This is a good plan!

Hmmm. I was bummed that I wasn't going with my friend, but this could end up working out as well . . .

I"m home from Mexico! Really seriously don't want to go to work tomorrow. Jealous that Brenda was still there all day. :)

Catching up on Amazing Race and making my roommate put aloe on my back. Woo, good times.
