Take jobs as they come -- and we'll never be under the heel of nobody ever again. No matter how long the arm of the Alliance might get, we'll just get ourselves a little further.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Great news, sj! I wish you quick success!

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

May your sex be enjoyable AND (re)productive.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Askye, did it fall behind during the spin cycle? Do you have cats, maybe they rolled the bottle into another room, under a counter?

Thrive to spite them

I found it! I think I put the bottle on the dryer and then put some clothes on the dryer and the bottle got twisted up in a sleeve or something.

Yesterday I went to Burlington for cat food and to get out of the house. I forgot being President's Day lots of businesses were closed and there were a ton of people out. I managed pretty well but I think by the time I couldn't find the medicine I was a little overwhelmed with everything.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Askye, I'm glad you found it.

Today is the only day this week that I do not have a doctor's appointment, and I overslept by a lot. I'm having coffee with thessaly in a couple hours.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

java, thanks for the info! I'm going to send it off to my friend to forward to her mother.

I KNEW the hivemind would have something! (I keep typing "hae" instead of "have" ... is this my Scottish heritage coming out? or just lazy fingers?)

Sorry for Laura's accident, glad Maria enjoyed her (well deserved) trip. I can't keep up with everyone and I'm a busy little bee today, but know that I have those who need it in my heart.

Always Anti-fascist!

My bad wolf has my father's voice, despite his never denying himself anything, he's got me halfway convinced that anything more than a sack of grain, foraged from in the dark is too much for me.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Yeah, the bad wolf thing, especially this:

That voice inside that says if you’re in trouble, you must suffer until you fix things? That’s your bad wolf, sitting there with a fork, licking his lips.

Sounds very much like the bootstraps thinking that I associate with certain conservative/Tea Party/Republican folks. You're poor? How dare you have an iPhone! How dare you wear new clothes! How dare you have jewelry! How dare you have anything other than rags and government cheese!

Doesn't matter if the iPhone was a gift, if the jewelry was from a beloved deceased family member, doesn't matter if the clothes were a lucky find at Goodwill. How dare you be anything other than wretched.

My horrifying ex-friend the ER doctor always used to (and probably still does) complain about uninsured people coming in to "his" ER and pulling out iPhones. Or being well-dressed. Like uninsured = street urchin. I truly believes he thinks there are 2 groups of people: (1) Those Like Him, Who Deserve What They Were Born To, and (2) street urchins, who deserve nothing, since they won't pull themselves out of the systemic poverty and oppression they were stupid enough to be born into.
