Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

sleep in a weird position (but comfortable for me)

Glad gravity worked for you, smonster...but what was this position? Were you hanging upside-down?

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Laura, I'm so glad. Siblings can really be a wonderful system of support and compassion and the occasionally needed reality check.

Ha, Zenkitty. I've often wished for an inversion table. I slept on my stomach with pillows in the shape of the pi symbol, roughly, but with an added lumbar pillow under the edge of my left hip.

I am having some rebound pain and tightness this morning, but it's still better. Now all I have to do is be consistent about rehab... which is not my strong point. But I've got to sort this out, it messes with my sleep and work and mood and even my relationship to some small extent.

Speaking of D, he sent me this link in an email wishing me a better day, so I'm sharing the cuteness with y'all - [link]

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Nora, where are you headed MG Day?

We'll be outside Avenue Pub for Zulu and Rex. Don't know where additional wandering will take us. Might try to bike to catch Zulu a second time afterward.

It's crazy pants. I think it's been years, maybe decades since it was right.

YAY!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

An hour and a half before my scheduled appointment my phone and internet just magically started working again. Charter has no idea why.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Thank you for the comments re: my work rant. I think I'll ask my boss for advice. I'm just at the end of my rope. I have this feeling that they accept my meeting requests even though the times may not really work for them (though they are usually around 8:30-9AM start time their times), but they don't want to say no. Hopefully we can resolve this because I'm beginning to really dislike all of them because it feels like they have no respect for me and I don't want to feel that way.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Glam, I would lay pretty good odds on the issue being a cultural thing, rather than disrespect for you. I certainly felt, during my time in India, that people there, by and large, had a more relaxed attitude about time. Of course not everyone there has that same attitude, but that would definitely be my first guess as to the nature of the issue.

Ha, Zenkitty. I've often wished for an inversion table. I slept on my stomach with pillows in the shape of the pi symbol, roughly, but with an added lumbar pillow under the edge of my left hip.

I forgot to mention that my right leg was bent about 90 degrees and out to the side, putting additional pressure on the left hip.

Stew update: DELICIOUS. I need to write this down while it's still more or less in my brain. OM NOM NOM.

Yay, smonster! I was going to suggest leaving the tomatoes out until the end, because I have had trouble getting dried beans and legumes to soften properly if I add tomatoes in the beginning, but I'm glad it came out delicious.

Did you precook the rice?
