Glam, I would lay pretty good odds on the issue being a cultural thing, rather than disrespect for you. I certainly felt, during my time in India, that people there, by and large, had a more relaxed attitude about time. Of course not everyone there has that same attitude, but that would definitely be my first guess as to the nature of the issue.
Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Ha, Zenkitty. I've often wished for an inversion table. I slept on my stomach with pillows in the shape of the pi symbol, roughly, but with an added lumbar pillow under the edge of my left hip.
I forgot to mention that my right leg was bent about 90 degrees and out to the side, putting additional pressure on the left hip.
Stew update: DELICIOUS. I need to write this down while it's still more or less in my brain. OM NOM NOM.
Yay, smonster! I was going to suggest leaving the tomatoes out until the end, because I have had trouble getting dried beans and legumes to soften properly if I add tomatoes in the beginning, but I'm glad it came out delicious.
Did you precook the rice?
I did not precook the rice, and it was fine. sj, maybe it was okay b/c it was storebought sauce instead of actual fresh tomatoes?
I was really hungry, and now I'm really full. Must. Do. Timesheet.
Thing I learned today: inhaling lettuce hurts.
Laura, what you're doing for your family is amazing. I haven't said because I'm lurky mclurkerson, but I've thought it a lot, so now I'm saying it.

I used canned chopped tomatoes when I had problems, and then I read that tomatoes can sometimes do that, but a store bought sauce might be less acidic.
I'm pre-approved for adopting at the local shelter! So now, I just have to decide on a dog that I like, and be the first person to officially say, "I want to adopt that dog."
I'm thinking about this one, but the adoption counselor said that someone else might have already put in an application for her. They get new dogs in all the time, though, so if someone else adopts her, then I can just wait until another dog who seems good for me comes in. [link]
