Saw this on the news the other night. Thought it was cool. Not sure if it's in all areas. But they are an organization that teaches cooking and shopping for the poor. How to eat healthy on a budget. The news said something about free bag of groceries with each class, or some such. Anyhow, thought I'd share with the group: [link]
Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Tom, did your therapist have any good advice? Also, you are a lovely, talented person--just wanted to throw that out there.
In my experience, diflucan works really well and fast. So if you don't mind having symptoms for a little bit, I would wait.
Eta: Sammy had very persistent thrush and the diflucan got rid of it right away when everything else failed
I am quite certain it will be fascinating in the front.
ISWYDT
Silly Puppycat. I have no advice, though.
le n, I have taken Diflucan a number of times but don't know if it works as a prophylactic against infection.
{{Tom}} Wish I could give you a real hug, but brackets will have to suffice for now.
Y'all! I have a potential housemate! I met this girl on OKC right when I moved to NOLA and we hung out several times as friends, but then she moved to FL to take care of some family business. She's moving back on 2/17 and is interested in the house! I'm going to send her some pictures tonight. Man, it would be nice to have 1 down, 1 to go. And she wants the master suite, which takes the temptation away from me... and that means my rent will drop from the $800/month I'm paying right now to $475. OH HAI MONIES. Which all needs to go into credit card payments and savings, but still.
There's also the possibility of keeping the third bedroom as a guest room, and renting it out to friends and family and such, but I'm not sure I want the pressure of having to get that rent in income every month. We'll see what happens.
His advice is always the same, which is to talk more about what I’m feeling.
Huh. To him or to other people? Is this old school Freudian analysis?
Yes, very Freudian.
Job security
So you just sit there and talk? Does he ever say anything back? I've never done Freudian, so I'm totally clueless. Do you feel it's helpful? The therapist I saw for years was more Jungian, and it was very conversational. He could help me budget and interpret my dreams and tell me I'm full of shit, all in the same session. But that's me.
I just acquired a new client (thank all the PTB, for real) and what sealed his interest in working with me was the word 'proactive.'
Freudian definitely has value, but I've honestly never met a 'happy' participant. It just seems so hard, and long and a bit isolating.
No disrespect to your guy...or your process...Tom.
I'm just smonster as to what works for me.
