Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The status is NOT quo.

I'm sorry Hil. Have you visited your local humane society? They want a good home for their pets and will check your landlord status, but they tend to be far less picky about your schedule.

Art Crawl!!!

Hil, that's a shame. But I'm sure you'll find the right dog soon.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I'm sorry to hear that, Hil. I hope you find the right dog soon!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I just wish that they'd told me at the beginning if this dog needed a home where someone was home all the time. The application I filled out asked for my working hours, and I told them, and then they went and contacted my references and did the home visit and everything anyway.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, that sucks, Hil. But it's not a judgement on you. Keep at it. You'll get the right dog.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Aw, Hil. That sucks. But what the others said - some dogs do need more interaction during the day, and that's part of what fuels destructivity in doggies. You'll find one, I know.

Sadly, the burlesque show last night was not as awesome as I had hoped. Many people were not on theme, and there was one genuinely awful stand-up routine. Don't quit your night job, musician dude. The opening number was fantastic, though: the birthday girl (omg, she is so hot I can't even stand it, and a fabulous dancer) was dressed as Jareth (well, had the wig and the makeup and then wore a skimpy bikini outfit) and another dancer loosely dressed as Sarah (white sparkly bikini with a tulle tail, ornaments in hair). They did a pole duet to the song that plays during the masked ball.

My friend and neighbor did a fire number while someone dressed as Jareth sang the song that plays during the opening credits. We left before it was over, so maybe someone did "Magic Dance.' I hope so. My night was made by a woman who walked in dressed as the worm. Blue dress, red scarf, blue extension in her hair. "Allo! Come and have a cuppa tea with the missus."

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Oh, Hil. I'm sorry. I hope you find the right dog for you soon.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

The dog upstairs is one who does not go well with no one home. I hear that poor punkin barking and whining all through the day. When they are home, I rarely hear the dog at all.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

My Darcy and Bingley friend lives in the Berkshires.

Compassionately intolerant

I totally agree with everyone else. Some dogs deal well with being alone. Some don't.

The foster should have said something about that at the outset, though.

Cagney doesn't like to be left...and sings the song of dismal lament when I leave, but honestly, when I come back, he's in no hurry to come out. He's pretty cozy in there.
