hey! it's National Pie Day!

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
My mom saw a woman having some kind of problem with her diabetes out here like that once.
Diabetic shock is really scary stuff. Mmmmm, pie!
So glad you were there to see her and help her, Hil.
Hil, you did a good thing. I hope whatever was wrong with the woman, she gets the help she needs.
I think I'm going to end up going back on antidepressants soon. I was really hoping to not be on them until after having a baby, but things are really bad right now. I'm going to talk to the fertility doctor when I see him on Monday and tell him that is my plan, maybe see if he can recommend a therapist in my area.
{{{sj}}} I'm sorry you're struggling. I hope you find someone great and are feeling better quickly.
Thanks, Glam. I feel like I have been all over the map since I went off BCP in April, and the last few weeks I have gone from highly stressed and over emotional, to pretty much non-functional. I did not get up from the couch last week, and that really isn't fair to TCG and it is not good for me. I'm sorry that I have been spewing so much of my stress and depression all over here for so long now.
((( SJ)))
Hil, good eye! Good call.
hey! it's National Pie Day!I thought that was March 14th (3.14). But hey, two days of Pie, who am I to complain?
sj, I stayed on antidepressants (went down to a low maintenance dose but chose not to discontinue) while trying to get pregnant and throughout my pregnancy, and everything went fine. I mean, it wasn't a fabulous pregnancy, but the non-fabulousness was totally unrelated to the ADs and my staying on them definitely helped my ability to cope with the un-fabulousness.
So, talk to a therapist and don't fret. Your own good health is vital to a healthy pregnancy, and that very, very definitely includes mental health.

And look what a fabulous little girl you ended up with! Thanks, JZ that helps. I am going to try to do a low, maintenance dose to see if that helps, but my experience with prescribers is they often try to keep upping the dose before really waiting to see if the lower dose is enough.
