You two carried me through that war. Now I need you to carry me just a little bit further. If you can.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

{{{sj}}} I'm sorry you're struggling. I hope you find someone great and are feeling better quickly.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Thanks, Glam. I feel like I have been all over the map since I went off BCP in April, and the last few weeks I have gone from highly stressed and over emotional, to pretty much non-functional. I did not get up from the couch last week, and that really isn't fair to TCG and it is not good for me. I'm sorry that I have been spewing so much of my stress and depression all over here for so long now.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

sj, I stayed on antidepressants (went down to a low maintenance dose but chose not to discontinue) while trying to get pregnant and throughout my pregnancy, and everything went fine. I mean, it wasn't a fabulous pregnancy, but the non-fabulousness was totally unrelated to the ADs and my staying on them definitely helped my ability to cope with the un-fabulousness.

So, talk to a therapist and don't fret. Your own good health is vital to a healthy pregnancy, and that very, very definitely includes mental health.

And look what a fabulous little girl you ended up with! Thanks, JZ that helps. I am going to try to do a low, maintenance dose to see if that helps, but my experience with prescribers is they often try to keep upping the dose before really waiting to see if the lower dose is enough.

Because books.

Very, very true. And if you're struggling now, I can say that post-partum depression could be a future issue (it was for me, with my last two pregnancies, and after Sara's birth is when I finally went on ADs), so it's really better to find something now and regulate the dose.

Also, many vibes, sj. I know how much you want this.

The person from the dog rescue place is coming to do a home visit tomorrow. I have no idea what she's supposed to be looking for. Anybody know?

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Normal cleanliness of the home, and that your home is an adequate size for the type of dog you want.

A fenced-in back yard or a safe neighborhood for walks to go outside for bathroom breaks.

Making sure that you aren't a puppy-mill breeder or other type of bad owner.

Just seeing where s/he would sleep, eat, your plans for care, and generally if you're willing to have a home visit to get the dog.
