Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thrive to spite them

go billytea!

I got to Skype with E today he was so cute. He showed me his Ranger Rick JR magazine (I got him a subscription for Xmas) and then his gliding bike and his trike. And showed me all around the new house they are living in. He didn't want to end it, but I promised we'd Skype again soon.

I want cookies! And I'd be willing to make some but I have no mixer and I'm not creaming butter and sugar by hand. But tomorrow I'm going to make some spiced applesauce muffins.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Congrats to billytea and Biyi and Ryan on such a milestone!

Usually the swans and the bald eagles hang out in kind of the same territory--swans on the ground, eagles in the trees along rivers, usually.

Dude, that's freaking cool.

Best of luck, Hil.

I passed by a skinny looking dog in a not-great neighborhood today and nearly stopped... but I didn't. This town kills me, the way people neglect their animals and don't get them fixed. I think this pup had a home, but wasn't sure, but... I can't afford another dog, and I wasn't up to a possible hostile encounter with the owner. Blergh.

Happy birthday to Sammy! As for a gift, well, you could just wrap an empty box! That ends up being what little ones play with, anyway, in my limited experience.

I am feeling pretty mentally crappy right now, due to a number of factors coming together. Working late every day this week, working almost a full day yesterday, going to a show Thursday, and rushing to KdV last night means that I am physically and mentally tired and I've let things like paperwork and dishes slide. Also, in my hurry yesterday I forgot to take my AD pill, and oh let's top it all off with some PMS, shall we?

Anyway, I got through the day more or less with napping and a bit of Xanax and a talk with my sister. I skipped a shoe decorating party - just didn't have the spoons. And now I'm in my normal Sunday panic mode of what absolutely HAS to get done tonight. Man, I wish I had tomorrow off.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

My old professor/friend/mentor did die tonight an hour ago. (see "Beep me.") I am very sad about this; I can't articulate what he was to me and so many of my friends, but I am shocked and sad.

Rest in peace, Bruce. You were loved by so many.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I'm sorry, Strix. Sucks to lose your teacher (by which I mean the full "teacher/mentor/guide/person who opened up your mind" thing, not just someone who had a job). My college mentor died very suddenly the after I graduated and 20 years on I still have occasional moments of wishing I could hear Roger's take on something. It's a huge relationship when you get one who's that good.

Oh, yes.

The phone tree thing is happening, and I'm just...sad. I can wait to be sad with people who were in the crew back then.

Oh, shit, I have to call my sister.

Oh, Strix, I'm so sorry. That's so sad.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

So sorry, Strix.

Man, Strix. I'm sorry to hear it.
