Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Man, Strix. I'm sorry to hear it.

Strix, I'm so sorry. He sounds like a wonderful person.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Thanks, all. Really. He was a wonderful person, and I will likely bore you with a few details in the next week or so, so caveat emptor!

Is it horrible and incredibly cynical that my first reaction, after shock and sadness, was "Oh, fuck, it's my personal goddamn "The Big Chill: 2013!)

But,no.It will be good, as these things go.

I want to hear these stories. I love stories of great teaching and mentorship.

Strix, I would love to hear your stories too.

Reason number 1,000,001 why I know I married the right man. I just sat next to him while he watched an entire football game, without wanting to run from the room and hide. No screaming, yelling, or pacing around the room. I didn't even know the Patriots were losing until I looked up from the newspaper and saw the score.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I'm sorry, Strix. My condolences.

That is a saga! But congrats to you for persevering and congrats to Ryan, what a big boy!

I'm just happy we didn't have to buy him a whole new bed just yet. We've already had a couple of unexpected expenses this month, we didn't really need to add a major furniture purchase to it. (Most of the credit goes to Biyi really, who discovered that the offending nuts were removable.)

Our wings are not tired.

I am so sorry, Strix. Hearing the stories will make him a part of our collective memory, as it should be.

sj, it was much noisier here during the game. I was in and out of the room during both games as DH and friends were playing pool. One of the guys is a huge SF fan and I thought he was having an orgasm. No real dedicated fans for Ravens or Patriots, but much noise nonetheless.

IRN, yes I will be having a Super Bowl party. Y'all are invited of course.
