Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
No idea--I'm always cautious on these things and throwing stuff out probably way earlier than I need to. My roommate, on the other hand, takes a very European attitude towards things like refrigeration. So, she'd probably say "well, you're going to heat it up, right?"
Also: only I go to a GAY LADY STRIP SHOW and pick up a straight man. (For my roommate! Totally for my roommate!)
Um. I. Um.
Fuck.
I am not sure how to ask this. It's kinda freaking me out. And I'm pretty sure it's going to freak people out here too. But, I really don't know what to do. I mean. What do I do??
OK, here I am, watching TV, with my iPad cruising the interent. Not sure why, but I decided to google my Mom's "boyfriend". This is what Google brings up: [link]
If you click enough of the links, you see there are (2) pictures. Which would indicate (2) arrests. And judging by the pictures, they look several years apart.
What I don't know is, do these sites only show arrests? Or do these sights only have the info if there was a conviction??
And! Do I tell Mom? I mean, I have to! But? HOW!?! "Hey mom, now that you have a laptop, you should try and google your boyfriend"???
FUCK!
What the Hell do I do!?!?!?!
"Mom, I'm not sure your BF can come over here anymore. You see, I live 2 blocks from an Elementry school, and I'm not so sure he's allowed this close to a school"
Uh, wow. That's....damn.
On that link, it looks like there's links to both mug shots, and to the sex offender registry. If he's ON the registry (I mean, double check the name/DOB/matching to those mugshots) then yes, he's been convicted (or possibly pled guilty or what have you). Which...yeah. That's damn creepy.
And if she doesn't know, god, your poor mom.
omnis,
how long has she been dating him? If it has been longer than say 6 months, this is what I'd do: a) get as much information about him that you can safely to run a background check. Typical background checks with criminal history is about $10-15.
b) get the check done, with this google search and present it to your mother ASAP.
if your mother has been dating him for a short time, then I would consider the situation a bit more urgent - with the assumption that your mother's safety has been okay up to this point, so another 24-48 hours won't hurt.
They've known each other for about a year. Not sure when they started "dating". Where does one do a background check?
ussearch dot com says he has no records in the 47 or so states they have access to. But from what I read of the articles you also linked, it's pretty dubious this is a real search anyhow.
