Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

For those of you with dryer issues - I drape my clothes over a rack (or my ironing board) in front of a fan. Speeds up the drying time and, in my overheated apartment, keeps the temperature bearable.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Isaac has an Ikea mattress and it's quite good. It's firm but not hard, plus I put the feather mattress on it and now his bed is downright comfy. Cody likes it better than the one on our bed, which was a helluva lot more money. The Ikea mattress is oddly small however, as in smaller than a regular single.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Frozed pipes still but I should have a plumbing appointment on Wednesday. Now I am waiting for a flu shot. Took four calls (and a forty mile drive) to find someplace with doses. But I brushed my teeth so being unshowered is tolerable. If I didn't sweat much in yoga.

Cass, that sounds like a no fun day. I'm sorry you have to wait until Wednesday for a plumber.

Gronk. I guess between not sleeping well last night, exercising this morning, and doing some housework, I was very tired. I took a much longer nap than I intended to take. I'm now trying to wake up with one of those Starbucks via instant peppermint mochas; they're not half bad for someone that isn't much of a coffee drinker.

Ugh. I feel like the weekend SPED by--I swear at one point on Sunday night I was thinking "Hmm, what should I do with my Sunday tomorrow? ...OH CRAP, tomorrow is Monday how did that happen?!" It's not even like I did more or less than I usually do on a weekend, so I dunno what's up with that. And then I woke up with an awful headache this morning. Yay for working from home, because I took painkiller and muscle relaxant and that made me doze off, and it's mostly (but only mostly) gone, but boo because I'm taking tomorrow and Wednesday off, and so had plans to be super productive today. Ugh.

I have done my bit for herd immunity. And I am not sore or ughy feeling yet. And I can home to thawed plumbing so I even have water now. What I ought to do is install the programmable thermostat but what I will probably do is read the internets for a while. And be happy that I have running water again.

Sounds like you needed the rest.

Yeah, I figure if I can make myself exercise everyday, than I'm going to allow myself to have the nap, at least until I have some kind of energy increase.

The status is NOT quo.

Rest is important. Also, I'm glad your water is running again, Cass.

Yay, water!

I just spent 2 hours on the phone with a hysterical friend. I'm both very worried about her and very angry at her right now. And frustrated, because I can't do anything about any of it.
