Ugh. I feel like the weekend SPED by--I swear at one point on Sunday night I was thinking "Hmm, what should I do with my Sunday tomorrow? ...OH CRAP, tomorrow is Monday how did that happen?!" It's not even like I did more or less than I usually do on a weekend, so I dunno what's up with that. And then I woke up with an awful headache this morning. Yay for working from home, because I took painkiller and muscle relaxant and that made me doze off, and it's mostly (but only mostly) gone, but boo because I'm taking tomorrow and Wednesday off, and so had plans to be super productive today. Ugh.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I have done my bit for herd immunity. And I am not sore or ughy feeling yet. And I can home to thawed plumbing so I even have water now. What I ought to do is install the programmable thermostat but what I will probably do is read the internets for a while. And be happy that I have running water again.

Gronk. I guess between not sleeping well last night, exercising this morning, and doing some housework, I was very tired. I took a much longer nap than I intended to take.

Sounds like you needed the rest.

Yeah, I figure if I can make myself exercise everyday, than I'm going to allow myself to have the nap, at least until I have some kind of energy increase.

The status is NOT quo.

Rest is important. Also, I'm glad your water is running again, Cass.

Yay, water!

I just spent 2 hours on the phone with a hysterical friend. I'm both very worried about her and very angry at her right now. And frustrated, because I can't do anything about any of it.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I'm stressed out about everything right now (work, the friends with the whole infidelity thing, and now my mom has to have a CT scan tomorrow because an ultrasound showed something unusual on her liver [NOT COOL, MOM'S LIVER]). Can we just get a do-over on today?

She's way more stressed than I am (perhaps that goes without saying, since it's HER liver, but then, some people are able to be chill about things like this, even when it's their own body [my mother is NOT one of them, on an epic scale]), and her description made it sound more like it's just a weird-yet-benign thing (according to what she said the doctor said, the ultrasound showed what looked like a "cluster of veins" on the surface of the liver), but still -- unusual things on an organ are NOT COOL.

I did tell her to google teratomas, though. Tim told me I was the worst daughter ever. But I was trying to help! I figured it would make her laugh AND she could say at least she doesn't have a teratoma in her liver!

However, Tim is making grilled cheese and tomato soup because it's the magical stress cure, so even if he thinks I'm the world's worst daughter, he's making me a sammich.

TCG is making me laugh to distract me from stressing out. I had to insist that he eat without me (because dinner was ready) while my friend was on the phone. Otherwise, he would have waited. In case I forget to mention it, I'm extremely lucky to have him.
