Timelines, all!
I was out of town in New Mexico and Texas until earlier this week. Ellie and Frisco are with my parents visiting my brothers kids and having a great time. Ellie tells me Joe is going to marry my (former, I guess) friend in the Spring. She asked if she should call her mom. I think I I need to go back over that one because I didn't feel like I could say no, but I'm not okay with it. Also, I had a vein stripping like surgery yesterday on my leg along with 100 phlebectomies. It runes out to be a bigger deal than I though but Sammy and I are spending the weekend with family while I recover. (My entire left leg is wrapped tight from my toes to my groin.). Next week, they do the other leg. Apparently my 100 small cuts was near the top of the office record. Yay?
Eta: wow, what a stream of consciousness post. But I'm on my phone and can't really get up, so I guess I was just hitting the highlights of the last two weeks.

Yikes! Are they warming up for the traditional "death by a thousand cuts"?
Oh, Stephanie, that's a lot of stuff! Here's to healing and emotional salve and all that stuff!

I think so. Next Friday is the other 900, I think.
My smoke detector is chirping. Not constantly, just once a minute or so, and it's driving me nuts. The ceiling is way too high for me to reach it, even with a step stool. Is this something I should email my landlady about? I don't really want to bother her, since her husband just died a few weeks ago, but I'm not sure what my other options are.
The battery probably needs to be replaced, so yes.
It will only stop chirping when it gets a new battery or the low battery warning finally runs out of power. Most people have gone mad before the latter happens. I think you'll have to call her unless you can enlist a neighbor or a very tall student.
OK, I emailed her. I also put on noise-cancelling headphones, which is helping save my sanity a bit, though it also means I can't practice guitar, which was my plan for this afternoon. I've reviewing sign language instead.
