Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The status is NOT quo.

Oh no, Pix. I thought we made it clear that you two were to stay out of the hospitals for another twenty years or so.

Seriously! But here we are. We've finally gotten out of the waiting area and into an ER room, at least. We'll see what the doctor says. I suspect a bad flu. I also suspect we will be canceling our anniversary getaway to our favorite desert spa this weekend. Man.

Good news, of a sort. Looks like severe flu. Meds rest and fluids. Still miserable, but nothing overly dangerous. Poor sweetie.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Ugh, I had The Real Flu two years ago and it was so miserable. It took forever to get over it and I was so achey and wiped out. Get well soon, ND.

The status is NOT quo.

The good news is that he is within the initial 72-hour window where TamiFlu is effective (it just reduces the length of the illness, but that's plenty for now). I'm going to get his paperwork taken care of, pick up his prescriptions, get him into bed, and ring in the new year with the cats and dogs. Also the sick bunny I'm taking care of in the studio until C gets home tomorrow. It's going to be a medical kind of day.

The flu sucks, but I'm glad it isn't more serious.

I am going to make a trip to the market, and I'm selfishly hoping that TCG gets back before I do so that he can do the first round of kitchen clean up before I need to start the second round of cooking.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Ugh, Pix. I had the flu two years ago, too, and I'll never forget it. Lots of healing ~ma.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Oh, Pix, poor ND and you both (but oh, in light of ER visits past, I'm so glad it's not worse). Stupid 2012, getting its last licks in before it's kicked to the curb.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Jeez. I'm glad you got it in time for the Tamiflu to help, at least! How incredibly miserable. I hope he feels better soon.

Compassionately intolerant

Lordy, much healing ~ma to everyone.

I, too, spent time in the hospital today. The condition that nearly killed me in 2010 has recurred and I'm a bit freaked out.

So far, no critical infection, and I have an appointment with a podiatrist on Monday. I've been told I'll be on medication for about 6 months.

This after 3 weeks of the coughing virus and 3 months of the runny nose virus.

Seriously. What the ever-loving...

Thankfully, I have some of the protective meds left over from the last time, which is helpful.

May 2013 bring us ALL health and happiness.

I could sure use some of both.

My evil plan worked perfectly.
