Handsome brooding vampire guy has to swoop in all sensitive mouth and overhanging forehead. How 'bout leaving some scraps for the homely-looking fellows who don't turn evil when they get some?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

For those interested in seeing the family portrait commission DW got for me: [link] Still love it so much!

Best. Thing. Evar.

family portrait commission DW got for me

I completely understand GC's emotional response, because awesome gift. The artist did have great subject matter too.

Hi Pix! We are looking forward to seeing you tonight. There will be tasty tropical menu items to enjoy as well. I'm sure your dad has loved having you both here to pamper.

I have done absolutely nothing this morning! Except consume a whole 12 cup pot of coffee and fed the animals. My lazy breakfast was graham crackers with peanut butter and clementines. Really hit the spot.

Laura, it looks like it will just be ND and me—Dad sheepishly admitted he wants to watch a UConn women's basketball game at home. I'm so sorry for the inconvenience!

DH will more than understand. UConn women are doing great again this year. Since your dad lives here now we will plan to get together another time. Tell him maybe we can join him at his place when they are in the Finals this year.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

GC, I don't know if I said it earlier, but that portrait is gorgeous. Your DW did good.

We went out last night for an amazing meal. It was our annual we survived the holidays/ first dateiversary (8 years!) night out. They even had sticky toffee pudding for dessert, which made us both want to be back in the UK.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

The portrait is just great, GC. Way to go, DW!

Eight years is a milestone, sj. And memories together, also priceless.

Eight years! Wow! It seems like not too long ago that the two of you first started dating. Congratulations!

Yeppers. Congrats! Now now that I've met TCG, I have an actual picture of both of you in my head.

8 years! Wow, it really does seem so recently that we first heard about TCG. Congrats.

I am confident that you are already jealous that we are hosting Pix and ND for dinner tonight at Casa Holt. Since the weather outside is delightful we are going for a tropical grill variety, the kitchen is filled with wondrous aromas. With the intent not to make anyone suffer added jealously, but to encourage winter visits to Florida, the menu tonight: Tropical couscous salad made with orange juice, cumin, lime, basil, and other stuff; Cuban mojo marinated skewers of chicken tenders and shrimp (separate skewers because ick on mixing chicken and shrimp imo); more skewers of various veggies and fruits; and fried plantains because not quite tropical enough without them.

I do love to cook and do so often, but even I am drooling. Oh, and Bobby made me buy Sangria because he thought my usual wine varieties weren't quite right. Also the lady at Publix was giving out samples and it was tasty and organic and stuff.
