It doesn't care about how much better you deserve, and none of us can make it change for you. I wish there were more of us closer to you so we could at least be truly present for you, but we're here as much as we can be, reading and listening and carrying you in our hearts. We know you well, and we love you fiercely.

Better, thanks. Still home (when I called in sick this morning, my co-worker didn't even recognize my voice, it was so foggy and froggy) but hopefully going in tomorrow. Though I do have to get dressed at some point today and drag my ass out to vote (preferentially-ranked-choicedly!).
