Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Travel~ma, Calli!!!
Cass, I'm glad you made it through okay and can recognize the good in the day.
Pix, wishing you smooth travels and a relaxed back.
We had a nice, lazy brunch and are now motivating to go see the Hobbit in 2D, then popping into REI. I don't have an REI near me, I'm hoping to score some Keens on sale.
Calli, good luck getting home.
P-C, whatever the reason (alien takeover is certainly a possibility) I'm glad for the outcome.
Cass, I'm glad your family Christmas was worth it, despite the stress.
smonster, are you coming here (my house) after Zog's?
I had hoped to see the Hobbit in 2D today, but the weather has given the wimp in me a pass.
So, FILING! That's my big plan. And some closet cleaning.
Believe it or not, it will be quite a recreational day for me.
Yay for the Poltermom holiday miracle! Boo to annoying family and adjuncts, including mine.
I'm in Nashville, because my college roommate, Linda, called out of the blue to volunteer to take a rather extreme detour on her route from Dallas to Clarksville, Tenn., where her daughter is spending Christmas with her inlaws. We talked nonstop from Atlanta here.
As has been traditional for years, my bff joined my mother, sister and I for Christmas Eve dinner. She and I were talking at our usual rate, and my mother and sister moved to another room and then threw a fit because we weren't talking to them and were talking about things they didn't understand, like sf television and books. Sigh. I wish I could walk out on Mom's repetitions of things she thinks people did to her 50 years ago.
We'll head back to Atlanta tomorrow and Linda will drive back to Dallas the next day. I hope the weird weather that way doesn't come back to bite her.
Happiest of boxing day or celebratory occasion of your choice to all of you. I miss you when I can only check in irregularly because my mother keeps complaining that I'm attached to me computer.
My best to the family of my heart.
I'm glad to hear that you had good company for the trip, Ginger.
My son called me to mention that he noticed the huge pan of noodle pudding that I was going to bake yesterday for the crowd, but totally forgot existed. Ooops. He is baking it now and I may still distribute it to family and friends because really huge pan. Maybe the office gets some too.
Thanks, all. The snow's falling pretty heavily at my sister's, but Flint isn't getting hit as hard so far. I love visiting my sister and her family, but I do have stuff I'd like to get back to in NC, if possible.
I see no way this could go wrong.
None at all.
Yay, Polter mom! Does this mean you can date whomever you want?
Christmas is over! I am in the movie theater wait to finally see Les Miz, and TCG is laughing at me as I whisper "keep moving" under my breath to anyone who walks in front of my seat. But the theater is still mostly empty so there should be no need to sit in front of 4'10" me.
Yay, Polter mom! Does this mean you can date whomever you want?
Ha ha ha ha as if. I'm still waiting for them to hassle me over the fact that I finally put my foot down on potential future wives and said, no, seriously, I don't want to do this (I've been saying it for years but I always cave), I will find someone on my own.
My best to the family of my heart.
Yup yup yup.
Also, noodle pudding, nom.
I'm having a good, mellow post-Christmas day. Just met up with the SO in town for lunch, and then we went over to the pawn shop to sight in my bow. I was not nearly as rusty as I thought I'd be after having laid out for most of the winter. I'm excited to get back shooting again.
Although of course it's super windy today and supposed to snow again tomorrow.
I think maybe I'd better haul some more firewood this afternoon. We're through one of the two ricks on the deck, and it's supposed to snow all next week.
