Catching up - I've been reading along but left my laptop charger in NOLA, so I've been on my phone.
This is relevant to my interests and I would like to subscribe to your newsletter.
Connie, I thought you might want to be a founding member.
Really? Self. Preservation. Dude. Get some!!
Ahaha, he also doesn't wear a helmet and I have to make him wear a seatbelt. IDEK.
bonny, I'm glad you had good instincts on your tumble and weren't badly hurt.
I hate to say it, but that made me feel really good!
Also, AWWWW.
I was so stunned by the impact that I just laid there for a moment, and Kato, because he is what I can only describe as empathetic, just laid down on the sidewalk next to me, with an air of "Oh, so this is what we're doing now? Not walking? Just lying here? I can do that!"
Kato is adorable.
He'll learn. Or he'll have no comeuppance, in which case your dire warnings will seem like overreaction. In any case, I doubt there's any way for you to impart any common sense that will work out well. He knows it's stupid; he's doing it anyway.
He just must feel so trapped and helpless and dependent, which will lead to Stupid Decision Time like nothing else.
All of this is true. I know I can't stop him, and I'm not going to nag. I am going to gently suggest he come up with a list of questions for when he sees his doctor on the 27th - on his previous visits he pretty much hasn't asked any.
sj, so much ~ma to you and your family and especially your uncle. You aren't being too mememe at all.
I love the E stories, askye. What a cute, sweet boy.
Happy Holidays, Shir! That's a lovely picture.
Ryan comes through with the smile-making, as usual.
omnis, I'm sorry things aren't going the way you hoped and that you don't have your place to yourself right now. I will say that the best laid carpentry plans oft go awry, but he should have consulted with you before changing things. I hope y'all get it figured out to your satisfaction sooner rather than later.
I just got home, and FSIL was on the couch. And my mom is calling her by name and doing kitchen stuff with her. Like she's a part of the family. It's confusing and surreal. But I'm glad.
May holiday miracles never cease!
Merry Bitchmas, all! Gotta go get back to the fam. I got the Avengers DVD for Xmas, hoping to watch it later. My parents and sister haven't seen it.
