Achievements for today: saw two tuataras and a takahe. The tuataras were pretty much all I was hoping for from today. I hadn't even imagined there would be a takahe in the vicinity of New Zealand's capital.

Yeah, hearing way too much of that myself. My reaction is most often one of hiding and avoiding which makes me feel like a wimpy wimp, but there it is. I made one statement of position on FB, then have just stayed out of it. People IRL I have mostly stated my opinion then asked that we can agree to disagree rather than have circular discussion.

My uncle is finally home from the hospital, hopefully for longer than a couple days this time. He's in a ton of pain with both the lung and his arthritis, and he's not able to take anything other than extra strength tylenol right now. So pain~ma and healing~ma if anyone has any to spare.
