Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

Could someone remind me again how I will get to those musical goodies? Gracias.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

It's in When the Dark is Rising too, right?

That sounds right to me, but I can't remember exactly how/why it turns up. Will have to get out my copy when I get home tonight.

It's at the Hall. Will and his siblings are caroling, and as they sing Good King Wenceslas Will and his mentor go back in time to continue Will's training.

Do you mean the gmail account we used to share songs?

I haven't used that in a long while. I've just been doing whole mixes, zipping them up, and providing a Dropbox link when people say they want it.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I like Carol of the Bells, though that's probably because I sang it in school chorus practically every year. (It's one of the very few songs that just about everybody involved in the "What songs should public school children sing at the winter concert?" debate can approve of -- it's traditional, it contains the word Christmas, and it does not mention Jesus at all. Plus, there's an easy two-part arrangement for elementary kids, and a bunch of more complicated arrangements for older kids.)

You know who LOVES "Carol of the Bells"? Laura! She's got multiple versions and I hit her up for a few last year.

I associate it primarily with Aste Spumanti.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

cowboy boots that were decorated with black rhinestones. This worries me.

Clearly, you were channeling me. grabbyhands

Seriously, I bought these boots [link] a couple of months ago, and they are my favorite boots by far.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Cowboy boots. With swirly patterns of rhinestones. They'd look great on you, juliana. I just don't think they'd work for me. But they're so sparkly!

I only have 19 versions. I do love the older traditional hymns too. Going to Catholic elementary school had an impact.
