Angel: Is that what you think you are--a hero? Spike: Saved the world didn't I? Angel: Once. Talk to me after you've done it a couple more times.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Hil, even if you don't get a new TV this year, what about a surround sound system to go with your current TV? It's something that will transfer to a new one and you can get fairly decent ones without getting super spendy.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

On which one?

Xmas. I've never seen SoA.

erin, wow. People are really amazing, aren't they? And I first read this -

Woman hysterical over some1 squirting mustard on her.

As a SQUIRREL squirting mustard on her. Much funnier that way.

D supported me through a very anxious weekend like a fucking champ. Hoping he sticks around for a while.

We went and had brunch this morning with one of my local friends/mentors, which was awesome. Love that guy.

Now to figure out what I'm doing for the rest of the afternoon/evening. Crafting, cooking, cleaning, work research... gotta prioritize.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

If I ever get to set up a call on a squirrel squirting mustard on someone, i'll have to retire because it could never get better than that.

And hey, I just got candy for taking a turkey-related call on thanksgiving day! Whoo hoo!

Yay candy!

I've updated my timesheet and my budget software (money=none. skerprise, skerprise) while keeping half an eye on the women's college cup game. Go Heels!! It's halftime. Next up, chopping and cooking to get dinner in the slow cooker, then I think it's time to get crafty.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I am so exhausted. We were social all weekend- it was a big beer celebration day on Saturday (Zwanze Day) so there was a whole leadup to it on Friday night at the bar (plus the debut of a local beer that I'd interviewed the brewer about), a friend from across the lake stayed over Friday night and then she left, and other friends from out of town came over, biked back to the bar at 11am, drink till about 3:30, come home, go out to a crazy beer drinking fundraiser for Krewe de Vieux (an extremely raunchy parade) krewes, get all happy, go home, stay up drinking beer with friends from out of town, go to sleep, get up early because guests are awake, go get bottles of beer and breakfast, go to homebrew store, see off friends from out of town, go eat at a BBQ popup, come home and nap.

Lots of beer and LOTS of social interaction. So very tired.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Beer foamy.

(Fire pretty.)

move out and draw fire

I have cleaned the grill, the fridge, the oven, and the child, oh, and the floor, because the cat loves milk, the child loves giving her milk, and milk does not love the cat.

I have not cleaned the clothes, because the washer broke (with a load in, of course), nor have I cleaned the lawn mower, because I'm unclear on how one does that, but I suspect it should be done outside, and by the time I got to it, it was raining.

I am done, and want a margarita.

The status is NOT quo.

I did a bunch of Christmas shopping at the amazing Unique LA marketplace (basically, all local and small business vendors--like Etsy, but in person). So fantastic! It's an annual event, and I will definitely be back next year. It's apparently the largest independent design show in America.

I then ran errands and spent several hours paying bills, balancing the checkbook, and doing odds and ends like filling out the paperwork to get Patch a license and enroll him in medical coverage.

I did not grade any of the 6-8 page papers I've had for 2+ weeks. Sigh.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I know you guys love the dog, Pix, but I blinked because I read that as "enroll him in medical college."
