And now my boy's in love. All hearts and flowers. But, doesn't it freak you out that she used to change your diapers? I mean, when you think about it, the first woman you boned is the closest thing you've ever had to a mother. Doing your mom and trying to kill your dad. Hm. There should be a play.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Anything cooking-related, Hil?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I just looked. I found a couple of Le Creuset things that looked pretty, and some Fiestaware casserole dishes.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

A new winter coat?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

sj, your thing about preferring SoA to Xmas stuff made me bark with laughter.

Happy to help.

I'm with you, kind of alternating between YAY and OH GOD OH GOD MAKE IT STOP.

On which one?

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Would you like a food processor, nice blender, or fancy crockpot? Spendy makeup or skincare? I actually let my mom buy me makeup this year once i settled on a color palette from bare minerals and she was thrilled.

A new winter coat?

I got that last year.

I added a few cooking things, and also a 3/4 size guitar. (I have a fairly small full-size guitar, and I never play it because it's just too difficult to reach the chords. I figure that, if I just want to play for fun, a 3/4 size would be better.)

Fun at work today: overheard a coworker taking a call about a turkey on the loose. A huge, 4 foot turkey. On the loose. In urban Portland. Uh huh. Sure.

Then not 5 minutes later set up a priority assault...with mustard. Woman hysterical over some1 squirting mustard on her. Sadly, it was nowhere near the last giant turkey sighting.

Pressure cooker? You can go from dry beans to cooked bean casserole in under an hour.

Hil, even if you don't get a new TV this year, what about a surround sound system to go with your current TV? It's something that will transfer to a new one and you can get fairly decent ones without getting super spendy.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

On which one?

Xmas. I've never seen SoA.

erin, wow. People are really amazing, aren't they? And I first read this -

Woman hysterical over some1 squirting mustard on her.

As a SQUIRREL squirting mustard on her. Much funnier that way.

D supported me through a very anxious weekend like a fucking champ. Hoping he sticks around for a while.

We went and had brunch this morning with one of my local friends/mentors, which was awesome. Love that guy.

Now to figure out what I'm doing for the rest of the afternoon/evening. Crafting, cooking, cleaning, work research... gotta prioritize.
