Are we also less talky in general?
I definitely think so. I remember days when I would come home to hundreds of messages here after being out all day.
'Lies My Parents Told Me'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I am here more when I am not subbed in Natter. Of course when I am reading both Natter and Bitches I have run out of time to actually post by the time I catch up.
I spent most of the day in the knitting shop. Getting help and then talking to someone who is going to help me with a project. We might end up getting together for lunch or something as well. Don't know.
I'm also going to start making a felted brimmed hat for myself. I have a weird shaped head and nothing fits. It's the brimmed one in this picture [link] the wide flat brim.
I'm making it in a blueish color with a gray constrat band. I'll see how it turns out.
Pretty!
This is the main color [link] and then a gray band.
I'm also making these [link] in a dark forest green. And making a few other things.
askye, both of those projects look gorgeous.
Oo askye, both those projects are lovely
Yes, generally less talky here--for the above mentioned devices adoption rather than being chained to a desktop. Phones and pads and things just aren't conducive to discussion, really. We are more often a nation of blipverts, and twitter and fb cater to that sort of, well, I hesitate to call it "communication", but the actual exchange of ideas *has* more or less given way to a rapidfire cross-opinion and fly sort of posting, with "like" options so you don't have to take time to formulate words at all.
Except for blogs, maybe. But even there it's call and response, rather than actual discussion or conversation. I can't think of another place besides here that offers that block party sort of clump and natter, move on to another group and subject, till something else catches your ear kind of online space. I miss it, frankly. But then I'm a walking anachronism, so there you go.
Oh, askye, the hat looks super cute. And those handwarmers are gorgeous! I love the crap out of my handwarmers. I must have a dozen pairs, some of them cheap woven gloves with the fingers cut off, some of them boughten fingerless gloves, some mitts with thumbs, and some of my favorites are the worn-out socks with the toes cut out, some of them with slits cut in the sides for thumbs.
I do have to judge when to wear the mitts with thumbs, though. Arthritis in both thumbs makes them hate pressure some days--those are the days for socks on my hands.
