Since we've moved I've gone on many more trips without Tom than we used to do. He has like zero vacation time and I have family obligations. I miss him like crazy when I'm visiting family (I really miss the support he gives me as well as just him, in general) but when I was in San Francisco a couple months ago, it was better. Mostly because I was having super fun times. Though I did wish a lot he was there with me, because I know he'd have had super fun times as well.
Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Goddamn. I lost D's bank card and it's been used, so he has to cancel it and get a new one. I used it to get poboys at a bar this afternoon while he waited in the car; to be honest, I don't remember the lady giving me the card back, but it's entirely possible that she did and I just left it on the counter like an ass.
He doesn't seem to be mad or even fazed, but this is just the latest in a series of space case moves I've made and I'm super frustrated with myself. Mindfulness, everything comes back to being more mindful.
{{Smonster}}} You've had a lot to deal with lately; don't be so hard on yourself. We have all done stupid things like that.
Ahhh, thanks, sj. I need to work on my zen, since my life is not likely to get less stressful any time soon. I guess it's time to revive my meditation practice.
Lisah, those are hot shoes. I approve.
smonster, everyone pulls an occasional boner. Don't let it faze you too much.
Ugh. Well, the time of the month explains why I had dreams about my back hurting all night long. Ow. How long do these painkillers take to kick in?
Also: anyone have awesome present ideas for a guy who is old, blind in one eye, deaf in one ear, and doesn't like to leave his recliner much? Aka, my dad?

Something he can put into his mouth, like Scotch?
Hmm. He's never been much of a drinker, and apparently the antibiotics he's on for the eye thing are killing his appetite. But I may go find some monk-baked fruitcake or something. Adopt a nun again. Anyone have good Catholic-related charitable giving?
(So far the excitement is that he probably won't have to have a glass eye. But I did discuss with siblings that we should get him a parrot. Because he's one peg leg away from piracy, and he DOES have diabetes, which increases the peg leg likelihood. Though apparently my sister got it but my brother went "like...a helper parrot?!?")

At Thanksgiving someone brought a fruitcake they had made and kept in the freezer. During Sandy when their power was out it thawed, so to be safe it got dowsed in most of a bottle of Talisker and refrozen. I can highly recommend this practice.
