Whoa! I... I think I'm having a thought. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's a thought. Now I'm having a plan. Now I'm having a wiggins.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

What JZ beautifully said.

Thrive to spite them

And the saga of the Abilify continues. I called my doctor's office to get an update on their end. Nurse says they approved the refill and I should have had it by now. But that's she'll call the pharmacy again and to call the pharmacy in an hour.

So I call Rite Aid to find out what's going on. They've partially filled it and she didn't know why.

I just got a call back - they partially filled it because they didn't have enough they'll have the rest of it tomorrow. I may have a copay for this, she doesn't know until I get the rest filled tomorrow.

I'm going to pick the healthy option and walk over there (it's down the hill at the end of the block and across the street).

With those who wish for an end to violence in Shir's world. Also wish an end to violence in the world of the millions at risk in Gaza, many of whom also may have found out they a have a new baby girl that may or may not be born other bombing, but will definitely be born in a state of siege. I wish peace those in Israel who now face rocket fire. I wish peace in Gaza, a nation subject to deliberate malnutrition, a nation without minimal access to clean water and sanitation, a nation without adequate medical care (including pre-natal care) a nation subject to constant drones buzzing overhead, where if you are not being bombed, you may be at a moments notice. And this is not the current war. This is what passes for peace in Gaza. So I wish not a restoration of that peace, but real peace for both the people of Israel and Gaza, a peace in which nobody on either side faces rockets, or drone or bombs. A peace in which nobody is deliberately deprived of food, or water, or sanitation or medical care or housing or the basic right to engage in economic activity.

And actually, if to elaborate this for one second - there are at least few thousands in similar state in Israel in "peace" times as well. The city where me and my family lived for 5 years in the south didn't have, and still don't have a doctor at nighttime, and the nearest hospital is over an hour's ride in an ambulance. Periphery-central planets Firefly's style. Kindda why I had (you know what? I still have) hopes from the protest movement of the last summer, to make sense out of and create the connection between government policies. They're so scared of a change here, and we need one.

Yeah, Israel suffers during the "Peace" as well. Though at least they have water, sanitation and face delays in health care rather than actual deprivation day in and day out. Someone in Gaza in the most favorable possible situation is worse off than someone in Israel in the worst. Shortage of medical equipment and supplies, lack of power to keep what medical equipment there is running. Lack of clean water makes it difficult to keep hospitals clean. Not an ouch contest, and horrible both places, but not really comparable either.

And no one has limited Israel's food supply saying "they won't starve, but we will put them on a diet."

Compassionately intolerant

Oh, poor Cagney, poor bonny, and poor carpet. Hope all are recovering.

We're doing fine today, thanks, smonster.

After some Iwon'tgointoit, outcomes, he's as spry as ever. He played with two friends this morning and, just a bit ago, spent the better part of a half hour chasing a plastic drum around the room. It's too big for him to get his mouth on it. Slapstick ensued.

I'm hoping all went well with Grace. I don't venture into Natter. Have we heard anything?

Shir, I admire your continued hope and share it. May logic, compassion and, dare I say it, common sense prevail.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I am at the Amanda Palmer/Neil Gaiman/Anthony Martignetti event. Amanda Palmer just passes me in the hallway and I stupidly pointed at my concert tshirt because apparently I am a dork who can't form words.

That was JZ's post, though of course I cosign!

Hee! I'm guessing lots of people are struck wordless in her presence. She has one hell of a presence.

erika, I think I wished you appeal~ma, but an extra round never hurts, so consider more~ma yours.

Finally got to look at Ryan pictures. Ah, the healing power of adorableness. Nothing like it.

I made two decisions last night/this morning. One, I have to find a cheaper place after the new year. No choice. Props to le n for helping me figure that out. Two, I'm driving to NC for Xmas. My parents and sis think it's a terrible idea because "the roads will be crowded" and "you'll be exhausted" and blah blah whatever. You know what else is crowded and exhausting? Airports at the holidays. I was already going to be driving from GA to SC and SC to NC to visit other family.

Plus? I can bring Frankie!! Everybody wins.

D has his ankle surgery first thing tomorrow. He thinks he has a chance of going to work on Friday. I think he'll be lucky to make it to Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow night. He also doesn't think he needs anyone to stay with him tomorrow night after surgery (it's outpatient). We'll see!

Now to cook my veggie casserole so I don't have to do any cooking tomorrow or Thurs.
