Well, look at you. All dressed up in big sister's clothes.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I am at the Amanda Palmer/Neil Gaiman/Anthony Martignetti event. Amanda Palmer just passes me in the hallway and I stupidly pointed at my concert tshirt because apparently I am a dork who can't form words.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

We're doing fine today, thanks, smonster.

That was JZ's post, though of course I cosign!

Hee! I'm guessing lots of people are struck wordless in her presence. She has one hell of a presence.

erika, I think I wished you appeal~ma, but an extra round never hurts, so consider more~ma yours.

Finally got to look at Ryan pictures. Ah, the healing power of adorableness. Nothing like it.

I made two decisions last night/this morning. One, I have to find a cheaper place after the new year. No choice. Props to le n for helping me figure that out. Two, I'm driving to NC for Xmas. My parents and sis think it's a terrible idea because "the roads will be crowded" and "you'll be exhausted" and blah blah whatever. You know what else is crowded and exhausting? Airports at the holidays. I was already going to be driving from GA to SC and SC to NC to visit other family.

Plus? I can bring Frankie!! Everybody wins.

D has his ankle surgery first thing tomorrow. He thinks he has a chance of going to work on Friday. I think he'll be lucky to make it to Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow night. He also doesn't think he needs anyone to stay with him tomorrow night after surgery (it's outpatient). We'll see!

Now to cook my veggie casserole so I don't have to do any cooking tomorrow or Thurs.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I've had ankle surgery, if you have any specific questions, though I'm not sure what I can tell you that you don't know already.

Dana, thank you. He knows, like, nothing. He doesn't know what pain meds they're going to give him, or when he'll go back for follow-up, what to look for in terms of complications, how much and how long he has to keep it elevated, when he'll start PT and how long that may last (he dislocated it as well as breaking it), when he can get off crutches and get a walking boot...

Did you break yours and have pins put in? Did you have rehab?

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Need to pack for Austin. Can't get off couch.

Had some excitement with our turkey. Opened the fridge, and a godawful smell filled the apartment (it's a small apartment). So we're all, has it gone bad or does it just smell like heritage poultry? We'd had it butterflied at the butcher shop, and I brought it back for them to whiff, and they were like, uh, yeah, that's no good. Best we can figure is that breaching the turkey (by butterflying it) and having it in the fridge created a bacteria extravaganza. The butcher replaced the turkey, no charge! (did not ask them to butterfly it this time, of course.)

Anyway, hooray for not poisoning my friends! Lessons learned: if you are at all concerned about your meat being spoiled, don't risk it. Also, local markets are awesome.

ugh, need to paaaaack!

More later, but for now I just have to say that Neil Gaiman and Amanda Palmer singing a duet if making whoopie is awesome!

Nora - yikes and yay, in that order! Can't wait to check that place out, they sound pretty awesome. Safe travels tomorrow! Looking forward to hanging with your boys this weekend.

Thanks, sj! And that sounds super cute.

Casserole made, dishes washed, pans cleaned, trash and recycling taken out, dog walked for 2nd time tonight, budget software updated, four of seven moves made in Words With Friends. Time to shower and sleep.

We stood in line for an hour and have all three signatures on a book. I'm kicking myself for not bringing a Gaiman book with me to have signed. Everyone else did. There was the most adorable kid in front of us reading The Graveyard waiting patiently for it to be signed.

Compassionately intolerant

Derp!

Easy travels to everyone. I don't even remotely envy that process.
