Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Great news, bt! Good in-laws are such a blessing.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Good in-laws are such a blessing.

May yours remain the polar opposite of my out-laws, for now and ever more.

Always Anti-fascist!

The wheels of my attendant-services appeal are in motion, thanks to my friend's advice from the ILC.(I also had to make a doctor's appointment to get someone medical to assert that cutting my hours is bad. That's on Friday.) To be honest, it's a long shot, but I still have to fight for it.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

They couldn't fit it into their luggage - if they had, they wouldn't have had room for the wok.

This just made me so happy.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Accomplished: Biyi's parents are back with us. This time permanently (Australia's immigration policy willing). Ryan is pretty much thrilled to see them again, but still broke down in tears at the prospect of going for a walk with them without Mummy or Daddy.
Woot! Although, I suspect, the Romney people would point at your in-laws stance on Obama, and say that was a reason to vote for him, for policy that the Chinese likes is not good for America, or some such. I do find it funny that a wok was more important than a laptop. Hey, a well seasoned wok takes years to perfect!

I was feeling a bit better upon waking up. But I heard nasty car accident on the 5 just south of my work area, and I guessed my route, the 405, would be extra packed as a result. So I took a quick shower, and left a little earlier. I was right. It was about 1hr5min commute, instead of the 25 min no traffic amount. Well, at that hour it's closer to 45 min. But still. I guessed right, it was heavier. I arrive for the early dance meeting, only to learn, that I didn't need to be there. It's a design meeting, not a production meeting. But someone screwed up the exchange calendar and had me on the invite list. Grumble Grumble. Oh well. That just means I get to leave earlier today. So whatev. Still. Wouldn't have minded a longer shower.

Our wings are not tired.

To be honest, it's a long shot, but I still have to fight for it.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I went to the gym! I did not love the personal trainer, but it really doesn't matter because I can't afford to continue seeing her. I did get a good sense of what machines are available and how to use them, which was really the point. Now I just need to motivate myself to keep going back when I don't have an appointment.

I decided to treat myself to a latte after and was planning on reading a book at the cafe, but instead I ended up talking to the cafe worker and her boyfriend about Doctor Who and Firefly for an hour instead. Now I am at the library because I'm trying to cut down on tv time and if I go home, it will end up going on.

Lots and lots of ~ma, erika.

Good for you, sj!! And I love finding fannish folks in random places.

Today is warmer and not as breezy as yesterday, hallelu.

Thrive to spite them

Sounds like a good day sj!

Saw my shrink today. We're going to try Abilify. He gave me the script and told me to drop it off and not to except to get filled until tomorrow or later. Seems he's expecting the insurance to balk and call for prior authorization. I'll start off on a small dose and increase each week and see what happens. If it doesn't work or the side effects are too much then he's going to try something that sounded like Sassafray, but that's not it.
