Sock Dreams has petticoats, including one described as mid-length (the description says it's knee length), but I don't know how they are on softness: [link].
That one's the standard rough tulle petticoat. It does have an inner layer that's a thin silky nylon slip, but I still find that style of petticoat to be kind of scratchy, and nowhere near fluffy enough for *my* preference. YPPMV.
Jilli, you are awesome with the petticoat info!
ION here is my latest acquisition (I posted it on FB, but I know not everyone is on FB): [link] I have wanted a big "S" ever since I was a kid and watched Mary Tyler Moore and saw her big "M."
Knee length and cupcake pink would be perfect, Cass (burgundy is the other consideration)! I am learning about prices though--I've never bought any other than white--the ones Jilli pointed out were $50+.
They are open again Tuesday. I will check it out and let you know. I think it was $40 but if it's comfy, that could be a bargin. No one wants itchy legs.
sj, did you check Modcloth? My sis found something like I think what you want there. Am on phone so will link later.
Sorry to ask for advice and run, but TCG went out for our anniversary dinner tonight. It's two days early, but the restaurant isn't opened on Monday, so we have decided to celebrate our anniversary all weekend long.
sj, zulily.com won't quite let me do a direct link to one item, but if you go to their site and search for "felt trench coat," there's exactly one left.
Sadly that is one size too small. I'm checking out the rest of the site now.
Thanks, askye and Deena. I have looked at both of those, but I was looking for something with a little more structure.
Found it - [link].
Also too small, but thanks smonster. Most of the things I liked on modcloth were too small.
I need to be talked out of contacting someone about a cat they are trying to rehome -

I don't see how that all black cat is part siamese and part maine coon.
I don't need another cat, Penny and I are fine together. Right?
Siamese marking is recessive, but a Maine Coon mix that doesn't have longer hair is unusual.

You've been through a lot recently. A new cat is introducing a new and potentially volatile personality to the mix. I think you and Penny deserve some time to regroup and heal.
Those crinolines look short--am I misreading that? I do love the nice trim on that one, though. Not for this outfit, but for something with plainer a topskirt, it's lovely.
