Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Nora, I am currently huddled under a leaky canopy and my coworker is using a broom to push the rain out from under and keep the canopy from collapsing.

Let's just say I envy you at the moment.

Also, I hope the stuff works. I am still not all the way better, may your issues go away much more quickly.

Yikes! Sorry, darlin'.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Oh, fuck me. I just found *exactly* the jeans I want, and they don't come in plus sizes. Comfort waistband! But not for you, fatty! You don't deserve to be comfortable! Lose some weight and then we'll let you have comfy clothes! Until then, SUFFER! Fuck you!

Feel you. I've had nearly this same rant when I find Pajama Jeans in stores because they never have sizes larger than L or maybe XL in stores (they're not really Plus until 1X) - because it's the size 4s that need comfy pants that have a little extra give! Or, you can have them but you have to pay for shipping as a penalty, Fatty!

I have awful cramps, so I went to Trader Joe's and bought all sorts of yummy things to console myself with. Oh well at least this way I can imbibe liberally on my anniversary dinner.

Oh, I'm sorry, sj. That really seems like insult upon injury when you are trying to get pregnant. Yummy things and imbibing sound like a good plan.

I was hoping my period would start today because I am mainly on the couch icing my knee after yesterday's 5k (okay, the knee pain is more than somewhat the result of not just the 5k but the 8 hours driving and a bunch of stairs on Saturday and Sunday) and it'd be easy to slap the heating pad on my back or tummy depending on which hurt more. But, alas, it is noncompliant. But it also didn't start before the 5k, so I'm still ahead of the curve.

Thanks, Cass. I'm having a glass of red wine right now, AIFG! I also found out yesterday that another friend is pregnant. It seems like a child of someone I know is born or someone else gets pregnant every.single.month. I'm very happy for them, and they'll all be wonderful parents, so I'm trying to push back the petty jealousy.

I'm certain it's only the tiniest fraction of your situation but I know how much it can hurt when it seems other people are getting something you also so desperately want to have and enjoy for yourself while still being happy for them. It must be really difficult when it's people having babies when you want (and would be so wonderful with) children. Enjoy the red wine and I hope you can't enjoy much of it soon.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I feel your pain, Zenkitty. I've been shopping for jeans for months. My current attempt is the $120 ones from Zappos. I do not normally pay that much for jeans, but I want a goddamn pair of pants.

Very well said.

Cass, I hope your body cooperates and/or feels much better soon.

That is a good way of putting it. It also messes with my head a bit because it plays into the "you don't deserve this; you were never supposed to have this" disability thing that I try so hard not to let my brain go to. I hope you're feeling better soon.

We're having cheesy polenta with roasted root veggies for dinner. So yummy!
