I am such a proud mommy right now. I broached the subject of maybe asking for donations for a charity instead of getting gifts with Emeline on the drive home from Chelsea today and she was ALL OVER IT.
Instead of gifts, she is asking for items from the local humane society's wish list.
I might be a little teared up right now.
Aims, did you post your SF song yet? Did I miss it?
I haven't. Joe and I will be recording it tomorrow. I'll make sure to link it here, too. In Press.
had a nice day despite the crappy weather- had a social thing downtown and met some cool women and ended up hanging out with them in their neighborhood bar(s) for a while afterward.
I didn't have the chance to get to Walgreens today (I will tomorrow for sure) so my stomach is all effed up. We have a cassoulet in the slow cooker that simultaneously smells so good but at the same time so nauseatingly rich I kind of want to curl up in the fetal position.
I need to do October budget analysis but that sounds like way too much work and will most certainly be terribly painful to address. Also need to prepare for Chicago, but that does not seem to be happening right now.
Oh! Please, if you can spare it, some ~housema would be appreciated. We are (knock wood) set to close on the Salem house on Friday the 9th.
Oh, dang, Nora, I hope y'all can get that monkey off your back!
Unfun, Nora. I'm sorry you feel so crappy.
PS, I wish I had cassoulet in my slow cooker right about now.
woohoo on the closing, Nora!! (Bob's condo sale is scheduled to close 11/26. Everything is crossed that it goes through smoothly.)
Cassoulet was delicious. We will have leftovers tomorrow.
Paging Steph... Is it okay to take ibuprofen on top of Percocet? No more Tylenol, right? But I think ibuprofen is okay. D's pain is worsening.
Everyone is right -- ibuprofen is fine with percocet, or anything that has acetaminophen in it. And Ginger is right -- you can take 800 mg of ibuprofen every 6-8 hours. (If you want the goddamn truth, I take 800 mg of ibuprofen every 4 hours when I really need it. It's not a good idea to do take that dose on a chronic basis, but if D needs it for a few days to a week, he'll be fine.)
