Paging Steph... Is it okay to take ibuprofen on top of Percocet? No more Tylenol, right? But I think ibuprofen is okay. D's pain is worsening.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
askye, my sister gained a lot of weight very quickly on Seroquel. She got off it in a hurry.
I've known a few people that gained signifigantly on Seroquel. And if it's not working...
smonster, is D out of Perc? Did he take 1 or 2 tabs (whatever the bottle says?) Is he sensitive to pain meds? Because I would be inclined to (safely) take another RX pain med rather than a OTC, with the major ouch D has.
NOT A DOCTOR!!!! AND HAVE HIGH PERSONAL PAIN MED TOLERANCE!!! NOT A PRO!
He is taking a Perc every 5 hours. He doesn't have another prescription pain med, and I don't either.
Ibuprofen is okay with that.
Is he out of the Perc? Or is it a whopping dose? Whenever I took Vicodin, it always said 1 to 2 every 4-6 hours for pain. But two at a time made me puke, but I could take another one, with a little food in about 2 1/2 hours.
I have, to my knowledge, never been prescribed Percocet, so I don't know if it's more powerful than Vicodin. Does it say APAP along with the other drug name, cause then it's got a pretty decent amount of acetaminophen in it already.
Um, I don't know how useful I'm actually BEING, but being in pain sucks!
Percocet is acetaminophen and oxycodone, so NSAIDs like ibuprofen are fine. The prescription dose of ibuprofen is roughly twice the box-recommended dosage.
Also, ice anything that can be iced.
The ice doesn't penetrate through his splint, so now we're icing just above the splint to see if that will carry the cold down.
Yeah most of my weight gain happened with the dose of Seroquel I was on. I think this past 2 years is the first time in a long time my weight has held steady enough that I'm not buying all new clothes on a regular basis because I got too fat.
I was kind of worried about this but I didn't expect to pack on the weight so fast.
That's frustrating, askye. Breaking my arm sucked, well, for a number of reasons, but I was getting to do yoga pretty regularly and I've put about 10 of the 60 lbs. I've lost in the last year or so back on.
It's annoying.
